Merrell Unisex Child Bare Steps Sandal

My son has chubby feet. The shoe is very easy to wear due two its three hook-and-loops. My son can wear Merrell bare-step collection shoes all day comfortably.

These check all the boxes for me, flexible soles and wide toe box (both very important for foot health), durable soles, comfy straps, velcro for easy on and off, and they’re cute! My only complaint and why I docked a star, the inner sole material wore down extremely quickly, like less than a month of having them and they look much, much older.

These shoes are darling! The only thing I would say is that they’re almost too adjustable. Which sounds ridiculous but every strap has to be strapped. I don’t know about your little but mine loves to undo velcro, so every time we’re in the car off go the sandals! :)

Good quality but the sizing is way off.

We already had another smaller pair, but the one we just bought unfortunately cut his heel. Maybe more padding or a lower strap would be better.

Our son has literally worn only these shoes this summer. He complains if shoes are the slightest bit uncomfortable and has never complained about these once. And they are cute!

These shoes are great for my son. We were looking for a shoe that was close to being barefoot (for healthy foot development) and these were affordable and checked off many of our boxes. The soles are thick enough to protect his feet from dangerous things on the ground yet, the shoe is flexible and has a wide toe box. The quality is amazing too.
