Affordable alexa enabled smart bulb
Smart bulbs are fun and add convenience to life. I am slowly turning my home into smart home and smart bulbs are first step. Since, I am comfortable with "Smart Life" app, I usually buy products which are compatible with the app. This bulb is compatible with "Smart Bulb". Easy to add to the app, just follow set of instructions mentioned in the app. Note The app will work only with 2.4 GHz WiFi.From the app, you can control the bulb, change color, reduce or increase brightness, setup different schedule, name the bulb according to the room (Naming the bulb will help in configuring with Alexa. Currently, I have setup this bulb in dining room. I simply say, "Alexa turn on dining or Alexa light up dining") and group multiple bulbs together.Bulb has two mode, White mode and Color mode. White mode is pretty white. I find "color mode" less bright.Overall, I am happy with the product. I will try different smart bulb and compare it and update my review.

Don't like this bulb for several reasons
First off, I have other "Smart Life" brand products and they work fine. I was looking for a 2700-3000K bulb brighter than a 60 watt equivalent (over 1000 lumens). This bulb will do that but at close to 5000K with a very blue/white light. As soon as you shift into color mode to correct the blue/white output, the bulbs brightness drops significantly. I mean a lot. If you want a somewhat dim novelty colored bulb, then this is fine. For a location where you want bright/warm light, pass on this one. Going to shift to a Leviton plug in Wifi dimmer module so I can use true/bright 100W dimable bulbs.

nice to control remotely
these lights are great to control through google or alexa and i really like that they have an app too. they aren't as bright as my Philips hue light bulbs but they are still adequate. rgb is awesome and pretty accurate compared to other bulbs i have.Update after using them for a couple weeks:Still functioning nicely, one will disconnect from the wifi occassionally but turning it off and on fixed that. That seems to be a problem with a lot of less known brands at my house so it might be my wifi specifically.

Straight forward setup and Alexa can control these lights. The app is terrible
I purchased a pair of these bulbs and I am very pleased with them. No need for a separate hub like some bulbs, nice bright white light a little dimmer on colors. Setting up the wifi link took a little patience but after I did one the second was a breeze. You get the bulb to broadcast its presence by turning the light on and off three times. You can tell its broadcasting because it flashes but be aware there is slow flashing and fast flashing and repeating the on off step a second time moves it from fast flash to slow flash - you need it flashing quickly to link it to its app. The app lets you name the light so that Alexa gets a meaningful name like Porch or Family Room. I think Alexa prefers a one word name but I am not certain. The default name it comes with is in Chinese characters so you have to find the edit name function in the app and give it a name - it wasn't hard to change. After that it was off to the Alexa App to add the skill she needs to manage the light. I needed to do some trial and error in the Alexa app to add the skill but that's not the fault of this product - that's Amazon. My Alexa now controls these lights, on, off, brightness and color. The light bulb app allows you to set times for the light to come on and off - get a few of these and control the lights when you are away. Finally the Alexa app lets you control the lights when you are away from her so if you want to turn on a light at home from anywhere you can. Finally, I like products that feel substantial and well made and these do. I am going to buy more of these. Highly recommended.Update - Now that I have had these for some time I encountered a problem. I got a new phone and installed the app on it. My account UID and PW from the old phone would not work and the send verification code to reset it would not either. I finally had to create a new account and then it wanted to rediscover my bulbs - no I am not doing that again so I have Alexa running these lights but not the app. One day when they stop working I will have to go through the hassle of rediscovering and unlocking the bulbs in the app. A bad app is sufficient reason to look elsewhere for a smart bulb and avoid these.

They work pretty well from my phone
They are bright and I can control them very easily via the app which is awesome. Even hooking up to my Google Assistant which is cool! The only issue I have is that the color modes on mine are not very bright. Normally these types of RGB bulbs are dimmer in color modes, but it just seemed dimmer than others that use remotes. Not sure if it's cause theyre wifi or what, but keep that in mind.

These Smart Bulbs (Mostly) Work as Advertised
Installed these for my Mom over the holidays. Having limited experience with smart bulbs, I can't say they were super easy to set up with Google Assistant. I did get them to work with a little trial & error, however. So far, they have worked pretty much as advertised (though I don't think they are quite as bright as an equivalent 100 watt incandescent bulb). The voice controlled on/off and dimming works with the Google Assistant App running on the iOS devices we tried (iPad, iPhone), and the bulbs can recover functioning following a power failure (something I worried about). Google Assistant seems to require internet access, however and the bulbs have to be on the same wi-fi network as the controlling device (for voice control via GA, anyhow). One problem we have not resolved is getting the bulbs to work with the voice controlled Dish Network remote/Hopper 3 set up. DN's voice control of smart devices may work better with Android (or some type of hub not required for these bulbs), but I have no way to test this.
