Would like to purchase but why can't this item ship to NYC?

NYC is overly strict about knives and firearms. NYC is almost as restrictive as California. You are going to need to read up on state legislation relating knives/edged weapons to be sure.

Once open how do you close up the knife ?

there is a peace of metal in the middle of the knife just move it to the left and close the blade

Is the Glass break end not super sharp on others knives?

The glass breaker on all my other knives is very sharo as well
