I bought these sponges for my girlfriend and I a little over a month ago.My girlfriend and I use Aveda products for almost everything. We love their botanical face wash, because it seems to work better than many others that we have tried - and it doesn't use many of the harsh chemicals that other more popular brands use.When I took the sponge out of the shrink wrap that it is shipped in, it is hard as a rock, and I wondered how this thing was going to feel on my face. After reading the directions I found that we had to rinse with water and it would puff out. After using I hang on a shower hook to let dry, and by the next day when I use it, it has dried back out. To me this is a big bonus, because it will keep all of the bacteria from growing - and stinking!! So far I have not had any fowl odors coming from the sponges, and I don't expect any in the future either!We have found that our soap lathers so much better with the use of these sponges - and we end up saving soap because we only have to use about half of what we would normally use. My face also feels much softer after using these vs. using my hands.I will definitely purchase these sponges again in a couple of months when they need replacing.

They're just okay. Not the greatest quality but not terrible either. They are a softer texture than some. A little bit denser than other konjac charcoal sponges I've used.THEY SMELL TERRIBLE. I almost didn't use them because of the chemical smell. I washed it with Mountain Ocean Skin Trip soap and then soaked with an essential oil. The smell seems to be gone. But come on guys, not cool.

These arrived quickly in an adorible two compartment box. I bought them for my teen daughter who was having some skin issues and needed something to help exfoliate. I had heard that the charcoal sponge was a great help! They are small, but when wet become larger and easy to handle. I expected them to be more coarse, but they are much smoother than I anticipated. She has been using them and her face does, indeed, look better! She actually went out of the house without make up, which was a NEVER thing before.I personally just thought the box was so cute, I'd order them again just for that!

I'm not completely sold on these sponges. While the quality is good, I just can't get over the smell of this sponge. Even after a month, it still had a weird aroma (musty/stagnant sea water-like) that lingered on my skin. I could only get rid of the smell by washing my face with a normal washcloth and face soap. It did leave my face nice and smooth, and did a GREAT job of gently exfoliating. It should be noted that I'm a bit finicky about/sensitive to smells.

What a clever little item! Completely detoxed my face with one light pressure wash. Bye bye clogged pores and blemishes!! I didn't notice any foul odors and packaging was simple and adequate. Nothing fancy. I can see this item being a regular repeat buy.

Tried it out for a couple months-not impressed at all. Didn't clog pores but didn't make my skin better either. Soap on a hand towel works better than this product. Would not recommend or buy again. I thought it was kind of gross that soap and makeup from my face would be trapped inside the sponge. Even when the sponge dries, the soap and makeup particles are still trapped in there and its re-introduced in your face again...its like washing your body with the same rag cloth for a month.

This is my first go at using a konjac sponge for cleansing. I'm a dutiful clarisonic user but some days I need a break. This works! I apply my cleanser to my face then use this to foam it up and cleanse. I hang it on the knob of my pull out 5x mirror and it has lasted quite awhile. There's no smell or moldyness noted nor has is come apart at all, and I cleanse over my beard with it! I don't think I'll stray from this brand.I recommend highly!!
