Discourage a thief from trying to take your laptop.
I'm required to use a laptop lock for work in my work car. This locks makes it incredibly easy and I do not have to fumble with a key. The combination was easy to set following the provided instructions. I had been looking at other combination locks but with these I get two close to the price of one and I can keep one for use on our own laptop when travelling.I'm sure someone could break or cut through it with the right tools but it's a deterrent which is the entire point of having the lock.

Great for Tech Security
Just what I was looking for. I didn't know that there were different types of these cables. But these work just perfectly. Exactly what I was looking for. I feel more secure already. I doubt these will STOP someone from taking my belongings but they'll definitely think twice and be slowed down. Thanks.

the connection between the cable and the locking mechanism could be a LOT more robust...but the price is right and if all you're concerned about is a non-motivated individual moving equipment around, it gets the job done.

5 stars after adding a drop of bike chain dry teflon lube.Only 3 stars before because of the rough action.I had to remove the anti-saw spacer washer to fit one of my laptops.
