Horseware Rambo Micklem Competition Bridle

Still very pleased with this bridle purchased one year ago. I bought the standard horse size for my TB with excellent fit. The leather quality is sub par but I still give the product five stars because it remains intact. I did switch out for my own rubber reins however. My horse instantly stopped shaking his head. He is a master of evasion and still sets his jaw or some other silliness but the bridle does make an impact. I haven't tried the others but will be purchasing another when this one is no longer fit for the show ring. The negatives I heard at the barn are with the poor quality and fit of the original version, not the competition model. Also if you have a friesian type probably best to avoid this bridle; no model or size will fit and for now they don't sell extension pieces

This bridle did make an instant difference in my horse - she carried the same bit with a quieter mouth, stopped head tossing, and seemed to have more refined control. I am a professional trainer and am starting this mare in dressage and on the trail. The reins have a nice flexible rubber grip, but do seem short - I wish they had a version that was 6" longer.I DO NOT like the leather on the drop noseband of this bridle. It is stiff, even after oiling a few times, and the end of the leather is almost impossible to tuck in or out of the keeper. Some of the other leather on the bridle is higher quality - like the padding. I am surprised at the low quality of the leather on the noseband, especially for this price!

I bought this for my granddaughter who got a new small, young horse. This bridle was perfect, strong and very attractive. I highly recommend this bridle.

I was happy with the quality of this bridle. Other reviewers complained about the leather being "stiff". You have to oil it, then it softens up nicely.

Beautifully crafted, sturdy and my horse loves how it fits. The design makes it really easy to switch bits on the same horse or use the same bridle on multiple horses, The reins are also soft but with a secure rubber pebble finish.PS I didn't notice that the item that was shipped was the wrong size until months after I received it. Amazon and the supplier were absolutely GREAT in helping me resolve the issue and get the correct size.

Well made, nice leather. For a horse with a narrow head, fit could be a bit better

Where the noseband sits just looks more comfortable and secure than his old headstall. He is very responsive to lowering his head down with very little pressure in this bridle. We pair it with an O-ring snaffle with lozenge. Reins are nice. If you could ask the OTTB, I think he would say he really likes it!

I didn't use yet and love it already! My horse has a thin head and I don't like the much other bridles looks on him, and as I see this one it won't give an effect of "too much bridle", the leather is really good quality, the instruction provided helped a lot to understand what each part is for and for now I totally like. On friday I use and leave another review of how my horse reacted on it

Wanted to change to the anatomical style bridle for our boys comfort. Have been delighted with this. Excellent quality, great fit and he seems very comfortable. He is 14.3 Welsh section d with a large head. Generally we use size full head collars, and his last bridle was full, but with this went for the cob and it fits him a treat with plenty of scope for loosening for his thick winter coat. Do watch the you tube video as if you’re not an expert this gives good tips regarding fitting, as iit does differ to a standard bridle. 100% best decision we made for him.

Excellent product, great delivery time.

Sizing is a little odd but the full size fits my Irish 16.2hh mare and she goes much better in it than others. Needs a lot of oil as leather a bit hard but that's quite normal. Would def recommend it.

Whilst it ain't cheap, it is exceptionally well made and fits beautifully.
