Great value, works terrific.
I’ve been an electronics technician for 50 years. This desoldering station work great and is comparable to much more expensive units. I’m glad an assortment of consumable parts are included. I use this desoldering station to service my tube guitar amplifiers.

Absolute game changer
I’ve been restoring old audio equipment for a while now and have always used a cheap solder sucker and soldering iron to remove components. I decided to pick this up and holy smokes, why in the heck didn’t I buy one years ago. No more messed up solder pads. This thing works amazing, it’s incredible, and worth every penny! Only gripe is the soldering iron plug is different than the same brand soldering station so the irons are not interchangeable, it’s stupid. Like why use a different plug when the irons are exactly the same. Anyway, still worth it even if it was twice the price I had no idea these things work sooo good.

Great quality and easy to use, Real Time Saver
So far I have used it one time and I must say it made the job incredibly easy. Suction was great control of temperature for soldering was excellent. Very easy to use very satisfied at this point.

Lasted for maybe 180 seconds - than just BROKE while OFF
The media could not be loaded. Purchased this yesterday brand new. I have a 4.0 in Logic Circuits from years ago - still get confused by schematics. I don't repair electronics professionally - but do have Airframe Power Plant - and spent some years working on Commercial Jets. Not an Idiot.Working on a persons car - just to help them out... repairing an electronics board - and have over 85 pins to desolder just to be able to split the board half's and get to the defective relay.Set stuff up this morning - and the Vacuum pump would not come on... Turns out - this was because the temp setting (in Desolder) of 716 to 754 is useless. Temp must be at least 755F. Found this out doing testing - because I eventually turned it up to 840F - got the pump working... and then decreased the temp in a few increments...Got looking at some other desolder units such as Hakko - thinking to possibly purchase one. Said - lets give this another chance - and to my huge surprise - it now refuses to even Heat Up. Keep in mind - this has only been ON for like 3 minutes total. Most of thiat is time to have it heat up. If I wasn't having it heat up - or for just the 5 seconds or so - trying to get it to Desolder - it was OFF.OFF!!Now - after watching some YT vids - decided to give it another go & set the temp to 760F - and it DOES NOT Heat up. Took the tip off... looked at it; put the tip back on... Tried it again. Took the tip off again - wiped the heating element - made sure the tip was back on fine... It turns on; lets you set the Temp - and then does NOT heat up. I'm done. This is going back. Useless junk - which I hoped would be better. It did suck up my tinning solder when I finally got the pump to go on at first... but NOW - I'm done. It is plugged in (of course) and I checked the desolder plug in port, etc. It no longer works at all. If this is their quality - I don't need it.

soldering works better than desoldering
Instructions are poor to fair. I was trying to desolder and getting zero suction. I read the instructions again and repeated the setup again. Nothing. I started to think my unit was defective so I opened it up and started testing continuity of wires and touching up the solder joints inside. Kept testing and testing. Nothing. Somehow I figured out that you not only have to let it warm up fully, but you have to let it sit another 2 minutes *before* it will even allow any suction. Suction doesn't seem very strong so I am not expecting great results with desoldering. Soldering has worked as good as any other brand new soldering iron.

Works well
I needed something like this for years. I have dreamed of a desoldering tool that actually works, and I now have one. It is well worth the money and it seems to be very sturdy. I’ve done a lot of desoldering with it since receiving it and it seems like it will hold up very well. I’m 100% satisfied with this desoldering tool.

Very worth it for the price
Very good unit of the money. The other unit I really wanted was us$1,000, so I decided to look for other options. This one looked to be the best value for money, so I bought it.Minimal controls, and a very minimal manual, but works well. Can't use the iron and desolder at the same time, but that's OK. Desolder nozzle takes time to get to temperature, so be a little patient. You can see a video of my impressions of the unit by searching YouTube for "C.K. tries a Yihue 948 solder/desolder station"

Excellent Choice for Combo Solder/De-solder Station
This is a great choice for a Solder/De-solder station. It really does a great job fulfilling both needs. The de-soldering section works as you would expect, although the handheld unit is a bit bulky, but it gets the job done when used correctly. The temp-controlled soldering section is very nicely implemented with ultra-flexible wiring and very easy tip changes. The Yihua brand is my first choice for well-engineered high-quality soldering tools. You just can't go wrong with their stuff.
