Loki: The God Who Fell To Earth (Loki (2019))

Too bad it's a only a one shot
I was torn between giving this 5 stars or 3 stars. Five stars because this version of Loki, King of Jotunheim and praised for his sacrifice at the end of the War of Realms, is bored out of his mind and looking for fun. And fun is what the story delivers. Loki pays a visit to Iron Man, pulls one over on Nightmare and fulfills his calling as God of Mischief.Unfortunately, this is only a one shot and just sorta ends without getting a chance to really go anywhere. And I found the ending especially frustrating because Verity finally FINALLY returns and gets just a few pages at the end. Her relationship with Loki was the highlight of the Loki Agent of Asgard run and I have been looking forward to her return. I can't fathom why Marvel didn't give this a series order. This version of Loki has a better foundation to build from than the AoA version, which got seventeen issues.Overall, it's a bit unsatisfying with only 5 issues, but it was a fun read and I do recommend it for fans of the character. However, buy it at a discount. The book only has 5 issues and yet has a retail price of $17.99. Marvel is getting close to pricing themselves out of business with so little content for such a high price.

Only 5 issues but Buy it anyway
You like Loki? Let Marvel know Loki deserves more then they give him. I don't like tat Loki is now calling himself "The God of Outcasts." He didn't really earn it like "The God of Stories" . Just because you live though it, doesn't mean you learn from it. Loki went through tons of mental anguish and self realization to call himself "The God of Stories". But this series he only gives himself that title because he thinks of himself an Outcast as well. I also want to state Loki had let go of the guilt he felt as he changed into The God Of Stories... Bringing back any of that guilt is a waste of all that effort.

loved it all
the colors are very vibrant, which i know is stupid but i like it more when it’s vibrant. story is funny and easy to follow, disappointing they aren’t making more volumes of it. also love the switched of art style through it, really adds to the story.

It's Cancelled. Save the cash
Great book actually and when I got tot he end I see that crap Marvel cancelled another promising book before it could get any traction. Really thought this was going to be a great series bringing all the Loki stuff of the last year + together, but no. Cancelled. Crap.

No Lie: Loki Rules!
I was surprised how much I liked this book/series!!! Very well written by Squire Kibblesmith, an author whose work I was not very familiar with but want to become. I cannot believe Marvel would shelve this series so fast, when other relative junk like Valkyrie, endless Empyres and numerous childish vanity titles/series get to waste shelf space and Marvel Maniacs' Money. Loki tells (and lives) a great story, with variety and emotion and enough lies to be true (and vice versa). Bring it back NOW Marvel! We want more. Meanwhile, enjoy this read, fellow con 'o soars (sic) ...

A fun read. I liked how Nightmare was defeated. I liked the interactions with Thor and Tony Stark. The end.

Worth reading
Really fun, innovative story. It’s a shame this didn’t last as an ongoing, but it’s well worth reading (and re-reading) for the fun, pacey writing and beautiful artwork.
