It Works
Wow.... Samsung should of installed them from the factory... This piece was so was easy to install and worked exactly the way it was advertised. Sure beats always having a vegetable bin of water. Kuddo's to this company for saving me thousands on a new fridge. There are several You Tube video's on changing out the poor excuse they installed and replacing it with this one.

Cheap and easy to install. Fridge now working and no water in crisper drawers.
This was very easy to install. I watched a YouTube video that explained how to remove the inside back panel and remove the old clip. Make sure to wrap the two pins around the line so that this pin makes secure contact. For those who said it didn’t work you might have food stuck in the drain line. I defrosted my fridge first and then poured water down the drain home to make sure the water drained. If it doesn’t drain, then you need to access the stain tubes and clean them out.

Does solve the problem.
Did your local appliance repair shop laugh when you called and said you have a Samsung frig with a water puddling issue, mine did. Simple search and found this clip will solve the Samsung refrigerator evaporator drain ice buildup issue. Easy to install once the evaporator cover is removed from the back of the inside of the frig. Give yourself 2-4hrs with careful use of hair dryer to remove the cover. Additional time may be required allow the evaporator drain passage to thaw to allow the additional length of the clip to be placed properly. To access, it does require removal of the shelving and drawers but not the water filter assembly. Recommended is to unplug the frig from AC power. There are numerous reputable "water under the crisper drawer" videos on YouTube that step by step walk you thru the installation procedure. I personally recommend accessing the back of the refrigerator to clean the drain tubes, dust and muck from the drain pan for best fluid evaporation. When disassembling I found poor manufacturer assembly practices with the original clip bent over and not in any way in a position to thaw the ice build-up.

It works - stops the ice build up
My Samsung refrigerator works great except for one design flaw - ice build up beneath the vegetable bin due to the evaporator drain freezing shut. The refrigerator has a small clip that attaches to the heating element and hangs down into the drain that is supposed to keep the water in the drain from freezing. However, it is insufficient to prevent the freezing, and when the drain is frozen shut the water then drains to the bottom of the frig below the vegetable bin and freezes and eventually makes it very difficult to open the bin. There are YouTube videos that show how to remove the back panel inside of the frig to replace the clip with the BlueStars clip. The clip has a larger surface area that make contact with the heating element and also hangs lower into the drain. I used a hair dryer for a while to melt the ice buildup in the drain, but the plastic frig interior gets very hot and I was afraid it would start melting the plastic if I continued. The drain remained frozen further down. So I began pouring hot water down the drain, then used an ear irrigation syringe to suction out the cooled water. Repeated this operation several times and eventually the drain opened.I only gave 4 stars in my review because the clip did not 'fit perfect' as advertised, in my Samsung refrigerator. It was too long and too wide to fit in the drain. So I trimmed it down with a wire snips and on a grinding wheel to get it to fit.Seems crazy that you should have to do this to fix what appears to be a widespread design flaw, but if you are looking to get the dang drain to stop freezing shut, this clip will work (maybe with a little modification).

Saving Samsung
So Samsung really blew it with the defrost feature but thanks to a YouTube video, I found this fix. I won’t say it was an easy replacement but if you have some mechanical skills, this was a good fix for my Samsung that was freezing up and leaking water.

GREAT for Samsung Fridge!
I have no idea why my fridge was leaking water into the freezer and creating a 1-2" BLOCK of ice in the bottom. After taking the back off the inside of the fridge, I found the drain FROZEN (thanks Samsung). It had one of these suckers in there and it just wasn't doing the job. I put two in and it works like a charm! Such a stupid but successful fix! Not even my idiot repairman buddy could figure this out! If that's your problem these will fix it!

Didn’t really work.
DIY repair on frozen Samsung fridge. Went on easy enough, but problem persists even with this “fix”. Might just be me though.

Works as advertised
I wasn't sure this would solve the freezing in my fridge, but it did and has been working great for a few months now. Wish I knew about this sooner and wish they sold the fridge with this in the first place.

Over priced
Spent $20 cad for 2 of these and the fridge only needs 1...should not have to buy 2. (The main reason for this rating.)While waiting for the part to arrive, I made my own and seems to be working fine.Didn't return them on time so right now I'm stuck with 2 clips
