If you want a very good sound then use a sound card. It is good for all other purposes.

Recorded My Audio Book With This
It worked well for my purposes. But there's still a lot of background noise, even with the screen in front and the foam on the ball. It was nothing that my audacity recording software couldn't filter out, however. So was all good.

Only works on one device?
This microphone works great for a pc but doesn’t work for mobile apps like Garageband. I tried the 2 way splitter that came with it and it does not work at all. It sounds good if you use it with Audacity. I would not suggest for mobile.
