I stopped using paperware years ago because I don't like one-use items. We hosted a family reunion weekend recently, though, and I decided to try paper goods for it to reduce extra activity in our small-ish kitchen. I was so happy to find these plates. They worked perfectly for buffet-style meals, held up to lasagna and tossed salad (I used just a single plate - no doubling up - and it worked well without any edge sagging, softening or soak-through. We loaded our plates at the buffet but did sit at tables, so there was no lap-eating (I think I'd double a plate for that, though maybe it wouldn't be necessary). The event happened during a dry spell, so I soaked the used plates in a dishtub of water overnight and tore them up a bit before putting them in my compost heap, just to get them started breaking down. Those were probably unnecessary steps, but reduced the plates' appeal to critters and gave me a good chance to assess their sturdiness. They were amazing - held their shape even after an overnight soak. The soaked plates were even a bit hard to tear up in stacks of more than two. This is good news - paperware that isn't an ecological burden. I will use these again should I ever end up entertaining on that scale. By the way, the 9" size is excellent for this kind of dining because the size is so manageable and the price is good ;-) If they don't compost well I'll alter the review, but so far, really good.

I've been using these plates for a few years. They are solid, don't cut easily, and OK with fluids. They are quickly compostable and better for the environment than paper or plastic.

Got these to use for my cat’s wet food. They work well and hold up to some of the brothier meals well. I’ll be buying them again when I run out. I like that they’re a more sustainable option. The price isn’t half bad either

I'm having a party soon. Since I don't have enough plates for everyone, I needed some disposable plates. I hate buying disposable products. Wanting to lesson my eco-footprint, I ordered these "eco friendly" disposable plates, cutlery and cups. I know that ordering items has an impact on the planet with packaging and shipping, so I waited until I had other items to ship. With all that care to be sustainable, imagine my frustration when I opened the box and found HUGE amounts of packaging materials. Only one item in the box was breakable. That had its own packaging and was surrounded by enough other products to be pretty safe. Everything else was paper products. It's so wasteful and so frustrating after trying to reduce. The amount of plastic in the box exceeded what I would have used if I'd just bought traditional (and much cheaper) plates from the store. Hey, at least the production and decomposition of these are better than the traditional plates.

A bit smaller than some plates, but good for our environment. Sturdy and no issues with these plates.

Love the divided paper plates. Hard to find them in the stores. Just what I wanted.

Além de ser uma graça para quem gosta de um visual mais orgânico, é uma proposta excelente para evitar lixo.

Excelente tamaño, te cabe una comida completa, puedes cortar tus alimentos sobre ellos y también los puedes meter al microondas.

These plates are incredible.. !! We’ve used them for saucy pastas to steak buffets and have never let us down with leaks or cutting through with steak knives!!And best of all they are environmentally friendly!! Highly, highly recommend this brand from this company!!Hope they never discontinue.. Tyou!!

These plates were better than I had expected them to be and they lasted with lots of food on the plate including sauces. No issues on the strength of the plate. Environmentally friendly.
