Small in size but adequate for 1st Grader.
This backpack is much smaller than the ones seen in local stores - it has worked ok for my 6 year old, but he finds that his water bottle falls out of the side pockets because it is so much smaller. All we are able to load into it typically are his lunchbox, his school folder, and a library book or two, but for the most part this is all he ever has to take to school so it is adequate. My son loves the graphics and so far it is holding up, but for the price I paid, I could only give it an "ok".

could not find a backpack with skylanders anywhere around my area and my grandson has a one of a kind book bag at school. well made and the straps velcro at the bottom edge.
