Wide switch but works extremely well
The switch has been working flawlessly since I installed it. We have been controlling it was Alexa, which the setup was fairly painless. The only fault is that it is a big switch and needs every bit of room. In my case I installed it in a double gang box and needed to rearrange the switches as the right side of the box had an adjustment that took just enough room that this switch would not fit on that side.

Works perfectly with tuyasmart
I have a whole house full of smart plugs and smart lights. I wanted a smart switch for my ceiling fan that I could use as a regular switch but also put on a timer, control with my voice (Alexa or Google Home), etc. Most cheap Chinese smart devices work with the "tuyasmart" app (also known as "smart home"). However, the switch I had in place there did not. It worked with "ewelink." I didn't want to be on two ecosystems (and use two different apps) so this is the solution I found that works with tuyasmart. I am completely satisfied.I have the physical button version, which I think is the way to go. It works perfectly when operated manually or from the app and is the type of button you would expect on a wall. Installation was a breeze. It has four wires: black for hot, red for you device, green for ground, and white for neutral. The neutral wire is necessary because the switch itself consumes electrical power. It's the only thing that would differ from a really basic switch. It comes with the wire connectors. Only thing you need is a screwdriver. It also comes with a face plate that snaps into place (doesn't screw on). Looks great and works great.Connecting it to tuyasmart is a breeze too. Install the app, create an account, connect your phone to the 2.4 Ghz wifi, hold down the switch for 5 seconds until the light starts blinking, click the "+" in the tuya app. Couldn't be easier. I think the first time I tried this with my first device it didn't work because for some reason tuya needs permission to access your location in order to add things. There is literally only one thing I could think of that's questionable with this switch: it has a little led light on it that turns red when it is on and green when it is off. Personally I think those colors should be reversed. Or red for off and blue for on. Something like that. Such a small bone to pick.Anyway, is isn't the cheapest smart device (smart plugs are less than half this price) but it works very well, whether you are using the smart functionality or not. I think I'm going to bused to return the electricity the actual plug uses and is the only change from a super basic switch, which does not use electricityuy a bunch more. My kids leave all kinds of lights and fans on in my house and it's really nice to just say the word and have everything in the house turn off. In the case of this device, it's also nice to say a word and have my lights turn off and ceiling fan turn on without getting out of bed.

Looks cool. Works as advertised - I use them with ...
I own three of these switches and planning to purchase more. The first switch I installed has been running for about three months as of this posting.Pros: Looks cool. Works as advertised - I use them with Alexa and the Smart Life app for iOS. I sent in a question using the Smart Life app's feedback feature and actually got a response. Response time when using Alexa and Smart Life is very good. Once you get the switch physically installed, setting it up on your network using the Smart Life app is a piece of cake. Firmware updates are easy to do as well.Cons: Not a three way switch but you can use groups and scenes to work around this. Installation instructions could be a little better. The back of the switch is big so getting it to fit in the box might be a challenge. I had to buy a different cover than the one that came with the switch - you'll need one with a little depth because the switch might stick out a bit. IFTTT works but is very slow.

check your installation first
I like the idea of this. I was able to use in some installations. Important to remember that for some single pole wall switches situations, power is led to a box and just the switch pair are led to the wall, as opposed to both legs of the power going through the box on the wall and one leg led through the switch. Obviously, this switch needs to be powered, so load, neutral and ground all need to be present in the box for it to work. I need to rewire a couple of my switches to use this, but that's not on the product which worked as promised.

Don’t but this switch because of the quality of the product is just sub par
Like, easy to program with the appDislike, the TuyaSmart App is cumbersomeI would never recommend this switch though. Within two weeks after installation, both glass faceplate detached (only attached by double stick tape). One of them fell on the floor and broke, the other one already partly detached.

Works as advertised!
I've had them installed for 5 months now and the only hiccup happened 6 weeks ago or so. Both switches stopped responding. Seller instructed me to reset them and that did the trick. A subsequent firmware update was to prevent this from happening again.Bottom line, installation was a breeze and they're doing the job. I can control them from my phone, Alexa and Google Home!Well worth it!

A dream unfulfilled.
My electrical boxes are metal from the 70s. These switches will not fit, they are too wide. The world probably got in a new box if the wasnt much in there. Also, might or might not work at all depending on the writing used.In other words, not a slam dunk
