I have two of these in my apartment and have given two as gifts. These lights are very well made and really well thought out. The magnetic base is strong enough that it will securely hold the light on a vertical surface and the hook for hanging is a two piece with a slot so that it can be hung on a line without undoing the line. Hard to explain but take my camper's word for it, it's a brilliant little idea. The flashlight is very useful and the area light is perfect for emergency use. I like that it is battery powered, great for when you can't recharge.

Full disclosure: I have not tried dropping this lamp into a pool of water yet. But, given my experience with this company's other products, I suspect that it will work exactly as expected. A great lantern that is bright and perfect for backpacking and camping. Excited to use it more!

I have nothing, but positive things to say about this product! The Lux-Pro lantern is amazing! A tent camping/car camping must! I love the look of the lantern, but my favorite part is that it also has settings to turn it into a flashlight. I forget my headlamp camping/ backpacking a lot. I think the magnet base is a GREAT feature on it. This thing is small, light and powerful!

Great little light an very bright aaa battery operated I bought my first one at Lowes wanted another one but they sold out so I got this one from Amazon I used it during a power outage work great not bad on batteries. Depending on brightness level

These little lanterns are great. You can use as a lantern or as a flashlight. Very handy. And they are magnetic so attaching to a metal door or the fridge is easy. Liked so much we gave one to our kids and have three for our home.

I wanted a small waterproof LED lantern. The LuxPro LP1515 looked like a perfect match at a great price point. Unfortunately, the beam pattern, especially on the upper flashlight portion, has way too much yellow in it for what appears, at first glance, to be a normal white LED light. You can see from the product marketing content that the LEDs are shining through a yellow material in the main body of the lantern and there is some overall yellowing and yellow bands from that but what you can't tell is that the upper light is also shining through this material and it produces a very prominent yellow banding and yellow spotting (looks a little like the number five on a die) on the beam casting surface. Not sure why the lantern wasn't designed to just beam circular white light. One star deducted for that. In all other respects, early impressions are very positive. I like the single button control, click through three brightness settings in the main light, press and hold to swap to upper light which has two brightness levels. Magnet and paired fold out mounting rings for inverted attachment to base. Looks and feels sturdy and durable. Nice diamond patterned rubberized surface. Very robust and well designed battery cover with a free spinning bracket on the cover side that mates with an asymmetric post in the lantern base's battery holder such that the lid battery terminals are always lined up correctly but the mating surface is not a threaded connection but four tabs that engage with four sloped slots in the base in any combination (0, 90, 180, 360) and do a good job of snugging the cover down and against the internal o-ring without potential crossthreading. I purchased this light from Luxpro and the customer service after I questioned the yellow beam pattern was exceptional. Luxpro responded quickly, same day, on a weekend and initially offered to replace the lantern at no charge and ship the replacement on the next business day. After they confirmed that the yellow issue was generic and not a defect of my lantern, they initiated a refund of lantern cost to me, no return required.

Since the item has no reviews yet, figured I would chime in. Seems well built and is super bright at the high setting. So far am happy with the item for the price paid. Can not attest to the waterproof-ness at this time, however I bought this to use in my boat so it will see some moisture. I will update this review if necessary.

A very versatile and durable light. Small enough to take anywhere. I really like how this light has 2 modes, lantern and flashlight.The lantern mode distributes the lighting very well which is perfect for camping. I recommend using the low power to conserve battery life. This is the problem, I find as you would require 4 set of batteries each time to operate. I feel they could have replace the battery compartment with a lithium polymer rechargeable battery.The flashlight throws light fairly well. On a fresh set of batteries you could rely on this while navigating in the woods at night.A great little light that delivers. 4 stars only due to the fact its not rechargeable which its is main drawback.
