Professional Boba Drinks at Home!!
Have you ever wished you could recreate store bought boba drinks at home? This cookbook gives you all that in great detail with gorgeous photography. And the recipes don't come from someone's closest guess. They're straight from the famous Boba Guys store! Now you can save yourself the 30min line. Some of the recipes are simple and others take time to create the ingredients. But it makes me appreciate what goes into their store product. It's all homemade, very fresh and some are quite labor intensive. If there is one word I would use to describe this book, it's "Generous". The owners describe every process as if they are training an employee...You! How to pour so you create beautiful separation layers. Why this extra step leads to a better tasting drink. What's the secret that makes this drink taste more special. This book is wonderful and earnest and you can feel these two young men's passion in their writing. I can't wait to take my daughter and her friends when the they open up again.

THE Book on Boba - no kidding and it's gorgeous
I was taken aback at how well done this book is. It's visually stunning so if you want a great gift for the boba lover - this is it. It's a great coffee table book. Then the content is like the Joy of Cooking or Julia Child's Art of French Cooking book but in this case it's boba. It is that well done. Soup to nuts or milk to booze. The authors tell you about the history of boba, layout the needed making parts, recipes (stunning pictures), explaining ingredients and the compliment is their personal antidotes throughout (speech bubbles were a nice add). You feel like they are talking to you about what their passion is boba and maybe you'll join the enjoyment too.

Fun Recipes - Worth It
It came without any damages.I enjoyed reading the historical and cultural contexts behind boba and The Boba Guys. It also serves as a nice introduction/simple summary of what to expect when ordering at a boba shop. The recipes are fun to try out too. I love that the drinks vary from simple to complex (at least complex to me). I wasn't expecting to see flavors like pandan, black sesame, sweet potato, horchata, chamango and champurrado (Mexican champurrado, not the Filipino one) included in here, so that was a pleasant surprise. You can see the Asian and American (including Latino cause 'latinoamérica') influences in the drinks, and it's beautiful. Thanks for creating this lovely book! I look forward to more recipe books that ya'll may put together in the future!

More of an Asian drink recipe book than a boba book
I am a big fan of bubble tea and was excited to get this book. As soon as I received it, I started flipping through the pages. It is well produced, with lots of beautiful pictures and recipes. However, the content was not what I expected. The title of the book is “The Boba Book: Bubble Tea and Beyond.” They really emphasize the beyond! Most of the recipes in the book are not the drinks that you’d find in most bubble tea shops. It is a collection of Asian drink recipes more than it is a bubble tea book. The recipes still look and sound delicious, but it’s very misleading to call this a bubble tea book. Simply adding tapioca balls or other toppings into a drink does not make it boba...I enjoy reading cookbooks and learning more about recipes, their origins, and the writer’s personal experiences. I read a few paragraphs of this book and couldn’t stand it. The authors try very hard to sound cool, sometimes to the point of being obnoxious. One of the lines I read said that they call drinks that are normally considered a smoothie or shake a latte because it sounds more “refined” and that “all the boba shops are doing it so just go with it.” Um, ok. I have not seen that personally in the U.S. or in Taiwan. It sounds a bit arrogant and snobby to me. If you get this book, expect a lot of latte recipes! With all that said, I didn’t realize the book was based off a shop called “The Boba Guys” since I had never been there nor heard of it. I plan on keeping the book since the drink recipes sound delicious...if Amazon can ever get the book to me without it being damaged during shipping! Maybe third try’s the charm.

Here for the recipes
Honestly bought this as a coffee table book and the cover fits great with my decor. Not a huge fan of the filler stories in this book, but I really enjoy the tea recipes they've added.

Beautiful colors and images!
I bought this for a friend who loves boba! This can certainly fulfill any boba lovers dream with recipes and other ideas but this can also double as a nice art book to put on a side table. I would highly recommend with its' high quality pictures, bright colors, recipes and story about the authors of the book The Boba Guys! (check out their boba shop in LA and SF)

Fantastic!
This is a fabulous cookbook for boba tea and beyond! During the COVID shelter in place, I have been suffering from withdrawal from Boba Guys. But I’m not exaggerating when I say this book, which came out during the quarantine has absolutely lifted my spirits. First, I mastered the perfect Boba Guys classic milk tea. Got their tea blend, used Strauss half and half... the works! Just like at Boba Guys! Now I’m having an absolute ball working my way through the book. Their Thai Iced Tea is one of the best drinks I have ever tasted, and thanks to this book I can make it every day (and I am!). Really, if Boba is your thing, or if you just like to explore the range of Asian beverages, get this book. You will have a blast with it!
