Sand a little off the fiberboard
First removed my horn fuse.Installation was straight forward- didn’t really read the instructions (skimmed over)—- followed the diagram step by step .* Pro tip: test fit the round horn fiber board (brown circular) - inside the actual horn button before placing it into the steering wheel. In my case it would have been a tight fit for the brown fiber board to push and lock inside the horn button- it was actually the same size was the horn button so it didn’t really fit . (Slightly oversized)** Pro tip : had to sand down 1/16” off the outer circumference of the fiberboard until it fit SNUG into the horn button (push in, turn and lock)- after mounting the wheel assembly - the last steps are fitting the (slightly sanded ) fiberboard into the 3 shoulder bolts and connecting the horn wire.- used a small piece of tape to hold the spring onto the inside (underneath) of the horn button, then push in (spring onto the center locking nut) and slight turn to lock the horn button in place.- re installed the horn fuse … done - steering wheel works, looks great and horn works .

Nice Upgrade to My Vechicle
The wheel is stylish and well made. Be sure to buy the appropriate installation kit for your vehicle as well as the wheel. The installation was a bit fussy as you had to hold a spring in place prior to adding the horn button, (and keep it in place as you finished). Grant could work on that issue a bit.

Nice Steering wheel
Nice wheel with a design thats been around for a while. Still looks great as the iconic style I grew up with. The only problem is the bolts around the inside of the wheel are rusting after a few months. They should of been powder coated to prevent rust, but nothing lasts forever.

Great looking wheel, steering feels quicker, just need to fix the horns!
Yesterday I installed this wheel in my '86 Pontiac Parisienne daily driver, to make it easier for me to get in/out of the car. The car has a manual bench seat, and no tilt wheel, and I grew tired of constantly bumping my right leg into the stock wheel, so it was time for a change. The install was fairly easy for me, probably took longer to rent & return the steering wheel puller from the local auto parts store. Overall, I'm very happy with the new wheel, even picked up the optional at extra cost Grant chrome horn cap with the Pontiac logo. The horns weren't working before the swap, but I'll get them fixed when time allows.

Great out of the gate.. Not so hot at the finish.
Great delivery time and great price from Amazon as always.. kudos to them. The problems I have with my wheel are with Grant. I had the same issue as the DL All Star- the writer as the first review.... My wheel arrived without the GT logo for the for the horn button and it was also missing the grounding plate. No problems as DJ stated, I contacted Grant and they are sending me both missing items at no charge.I installed mine on my '95 wrangler. No issues.. assembled very, very easily,(but make sure you purchase a horn button kit, it does not come with the wheel (Amazon doesn't carry it but [...]).SO NOW THE REALLY SAD PART..I live in Florida where the humidity is horrendous and the air is always wet. My Jeep is a weekend driver with no AC so naturally I don't have anything on it except a bikini top. Keep in mind I never drive in the rain and my wheel never got wet.. BUT AFTER ABOUT 3 days of just sitting outside the allen bolts around the center of the wheel began to rust. These screws come assembled in the wheel and they are painted black, but not the same paint as the rest of the wheel. RUST!! I couldn't believe it, my wheel looks like its 50 years old now! I thought about sending it back for an exchange but the same thing will happen with the next wheel too. I really like the wheel regardless and I will do my own fix (remove the crews, sand, paint and reinstall). For those of us bigger gents without tilt steering, it's a big improvement entering and exiting the drivers seat being that the wheel is almost 2 inches smaller circumference wise compared to the stock wheel.

Awesome
After adding my own personal touch to go with my red and black 73 Volkswagen beetle this wheel looks so sexy in the car. The photographs are just from the test fit to make sure everything was good. And for those of you thinking about ordering one make sure you check your make and model to order the correct Grant steering wheel adapter. As long as you got the correct adapter installation is a breeze.

Broken but fixed by customer support
Paint was missing in some areas and the spacer ring inside is broken. I wouldn’t purchase this again. I contacted Grant to see if they could replace the part but haven’t received a response.Update: Contacted Grant by phone and was more than pleased with the response I received from them. With the quality of customer service I am changing my review to 5 star. Do not email customer support. instead email tech support.
