Fun and Satisfying for Fans of Harry Potter and the Original 'Spot It' Game
I've played the original Spot It many times before. So it intrigued me when I learned that there were alternate versions of it with different images on the cards. It's the exact same game, but with a more niche roster of pictures. It's fun to replay, just so that you can try and spot more familiar images. If you are a Harry Potter fan, you won't be disappointed with the variety of little "cuteified" illustrations of characters, creatures, magical objects, house crests, and pretty much anything remotely iconic from Harry Potter.Like I said, this is a niche version of the original Spot It, so if someone hasn't seen or read Harry Potter, they will likely not enjoy it as much. Being succesful at the game is strongly reliant on being able to identify characters accurately without pause. And it doesn't always help to describe them, because saying "the guy with the beard and long dark hair" can describe both Hagrid and Serious. And describing the magical objects without context of what to call them is even more difficult. Even I, a Harry Potter fan, took a minute to be able to identify the "Howler" from Chamber of Secrets. The game comes in a compact tin case that I love. It's perfectly sized for housing the circular deck and is small enough to stow in any kind of bag. The tin also came packed in a display box, which was smashed up when it shipped. I didn't particularly care the the box was smashed and unusable, because I just planned on keeping the tin out. It's been sitting on our coffee table, and makes for a splendid game for spontaneous challenges. The tin is roughly the size of a stack of coasters, so it's the perfect size for a coffee table and is easy to get out, set up, and the games can last as quick as 3 or 4 minutes. There are also 5 alternative ways to play the game, which are all fun and I will often try to play all five every time. I know from experience that this is a fun game to play in groups (I've played with 5-6 people which is fun), but I've been playing this just one on one, and it's still great.

So much fun!
So much fun! I am shocked by how much I enjoy this game. Based on the description it sounds boring to me (my initial reaction to spot it when friends asked for it for a gift years ago) but my kiddo asked for this HP version while COVID has sparked many game and home activity additions this year. This is a game that has kept us laughing and having fun for hours across 3 generations. And I still don’t know why it’s so much fun. It still sounds boring but it isn’t. It’s also funny because while we’re all fans of the series, the adults struggle with coming up with the precise words for the objects and names for the people so we end up saying “blue thing”, “her”, “that guy”, etc. while the kids are quite precise.

Fun Game
This is such a fun game! I was originally introduced to spot it a year or two ago. We bought it for ourselves right away and play it often. I was excited when I came across this Harry Potter version as my cousin is all about all things Harry Potter. I bought it for her as a gift and she couldn't be happier. She and her family love it! Such a fun and simple to learn game!

It's fun and such a great game to exercise your brain! :) I played it with the original design and when I saw the HP version I just had to have it! :) I wish it didn't cost so much, but it's really a fun and great game! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Harry Potter theme! :) Quality and packaging was great! It came faster than I thought!

Great game for all ages
My kids and I have played Spot It for years when my youngest was little we would bring it to appointments with us to pass the time waiting. Now my kids are older and huge Harry Potter fans this was a no brainer for a birthday gift. My youngest now 16 takes it everywhere and plays it with her friends while waiting for food at a restaurant or just to pass time.

Good game with characters from books
This is a good game that is easy to learn. A couple of the people look similar which confused my four year old when she was looking for the match. I included a picture of what each of the symbol is from the movie.

I love this game!
I’m in my late 20s and I absolutely love this game. I take it to work and my coworkers all play on breaks. I even will take it to restaurants and play during wait times. Small container, you can stick it in a purse. You can play different games with it plus it’s Harry Potter!
