Corduroy's Tiny Treasury

These are excellent books for small children. Made well, they will last as they are made of durable material, shouldn't tear, and can be wiped clean. Being child sized is a big plus. A small child can carry these around easily. The colors are vibrant, the illustrations are very nice. The stories are short, they are appropriate for the age child they are designed for. The average toddler is not going to sit still for 20 minutes to hear a story. Not to mention they are excellent stocking sized stuffers. Corduroy is a timeless character. My children remember reading these books. As a matter of fact these were asked for by my daughter for a Christmas gift for her baby son.

Granddaughter loves her other Corduroy books but these she can almost read to herself. Perfect little books when you want short stories rather than the long original books. Perfect for 1-3 year old children. Cute stories and graphics too!

My little one greatly enjoys these colorful happy little books and Corduroys adventures in them even though they are kinda repetitive. Easy to wipe, pack in a bag, just right for little hands. Would recommend!

My 22 mo. old son is obssessed with Corduroy. We ordered this set as a Christmas gift for him. His eyes lit up as soon as he opened them & he wanted us to read to him right away. Although these are small books, they are colorful & perfect to take in the diaper bag. Also, the stories are short if your child doesn't have the attention span for longer books.

5 Corduroy board books that a toddler loves to 'read'.

I bought these to read to my 7-month old (now over 1 year old); I had no previous experience with Corduroy books but they looked cute. At first I was just a little disappointed by how small & short they are, but then after a little while I found myself using them again and again! Here is why: -They are very short stories, and some days that's just what I need! Baby doesn't like a lot of long wordy stories at her age, anyway. -They are the perfect size for little hands; about 4 inches square. In fact, out of many board books we have, this is the set that baby was interested in helping turn the pages for the first time. -They are pretty sturdy. Again, we have lots of board books & these seem fairly well-made compared to others; also easy to wipe drool off. -Cute & colorful illustrations. There is one weird but funny thing (at least to me)...in the book "Corduroy Rolls Along" it shows Corduroy doing various children's activities with wheels, like pulling a wagon, riding a scooter (with a helmet) and a skateboard (with a helmet)...well, then suddenly it says Corduroy can move lots of dirt with his bulldozer, and there he is operating this huge not-a-toy bulldozer (and no helmet, interestingly enough). Then back to a little wagon and a horsey with wheels. Huh?? I just find that amusing. Probably a good thing it's not titled "Fun Activities for Children".

Good selection! My son is 1,5 year old. He likes reading, the quality of the book is good, so it deffinately won't be disturbed with him flopping through the book, or throwing it sometimes, corners are rounded, stories are nice. I think, it was a very good choice!

I loved Don Freeman's story when i was a kid and so does my daughter and her daughter. Bought this to go with a bear in overalls for my gran baby's 2nd bday. Just the right size for a toddler and not too boring themed stories. Comes in a cute little box too.

The tiny treasury of 5 little Corduroy books is just the right size for the little hands of my 3 year old grandson who loves books and Corduroy. The books fit into his backpack for trains, planes and automobiles if taken out of the little boxy case (leave it at home for the bookcase) . His Mom ( or Dad) can tuck some of the books into his/her back pack if all 5 are too heavy altogether. ( They are board books). The "plots" of the stories are almost too simple for a three-year-old but the pictures are great for talking and discussion points . Ruth D. Taylor
