Playroom Entertainment Killer Bunnies Heroes vs. Villains Starter, Blue

Unfortunately, the instructions are a bit confusing, and I can see how folks unfamiliar with some CCG standards may be completely turned away. Personally, I had to do a YouTube search to find how others play (Dice Tower has a great tutorial). The mechanics are, I believe, the same as Killer Bunnies and the Ultimate Odyssey.Only issue I see is that it seems to be an uphill battle finding additional starter decks for this particular game.The cards, themselves, are filled with knowing references to comic books, sci fi, and fantasy that are eminently enjoyable for both parents and kids. I get a charge whenever I see the Time Traveler or Green Flashlight cards.

We'd heard rave reviews about Killer Bunnies from friends so Santa brought this edition to our family for Christmas. We played this with 3 of us - myself(I'd say an intermediate gamer), my hubby(who is an avid gamer and can bust through the rule books to most every game), and our 10 year old. I got the rules out and read through them shortly after we gotten it and was completely confused. We decided maybe it was one of those games you just have to set up and work through a few hands as a group to fully understand it Got everything set up, read through the basics again, and started playing together. The basic premise of the game - to win you need to get 4 bunnies and 4 cities in the circle. It follows the same flip, slide, draw, replace as the regular bunnies game. To place bunnies and cities you need to draw resource cards. In order to deploy additional cards you need to have bunnies and cities in the circle. However after 6 rounds through only one of us had collected enough resource cards to successfully get a bunny deployed and nothing was happening in the game except people burning through card after card trying to acquire resources to put something out. After another half dozen rounds we gave up and packed the game back up as no one was having any fun and we still didn't feel like we really understood the game. We ended up purchasing the Golden Carrot version that we played with some friends and we love it.

Huuge fan of the Killer Bunnies universe! so this did not dissapoint me in any way.The game is a bit nerdy, and with a lot of reference.

I don't do reviews much but it came really quickly and the game is great, once you work it out, once you do you'll be like well durrh, so clear what to do lol happy gaming :)
