Felt with Love: Felt Hearts, Flowers and Much More

Felt With Love is the book I've been looking for. I wish I'd bought this book first. Madeleine Millington is an excellent teacher. Where some of the books I have bought use generalities and have a do this approach, Madeleine shows you step by step with wonderful pictures how to make something. I've not crafted with felt for very long so I appreciate her step by step instructions and clear pictures. She has a great little stitching section too that doesn't just show one graphic, she shows you each step of the stitch with pictures.Another reason I love this book are the projects! They are just what I was looking for with lots of flowers and hearts and garlands and pretty things for around the house that are not hard to do and build confidence in the process. I dug in right away with the heart brooches and had so much fun making them - the way she makes them is perfect.I can't say more good about this book! It's filled with wonderful pictures and delightful projects. The sky is the limit once you learn how to create something, then you can use your imagination and embellish things however you want but you have to get the basics down and this book is magnificent for that! I love it and I will look for more of this artist's books because I think she is a natural teacher and a very talented woman.

Cute patterns, used a few. The doves were my favorite. Nice for quick christmas ornaments.

I really like this book which has some sweet projects. It gave me some ideas that I would like to try. It's a very practical book for learning some felting techniques. I'm very glad I got this book.

Very good? That would mean that all pages are in tact. The pattern that I wanted had been cut out! And the page was torn out leaving only the outline of the pattern that someone cut out.The price in the back has $1.99 --- so someone could have at LEAST noted that pattern is missing, page is torn out.This book is in "good" shape at best. ONE pattern cut out does not = "very good" condition.Buyer's REMORSE. Lesson learned. Pay full price for a new book.

The projects in this book are BEAUTIFUL! Very unique and interesting styles and techniques used. The first 18 pages contain useful advice on stitching, materials, embellishing and dying felt. It contains 15 projects all featuring step by step colour photography so you can see exactly where you are with a project. Very clearly written and illustrated making it easy to complete the projects. Especially given the fact it has full size templates in the back few pages. Projects include garlands, wall hangings, pin cushions, brooches and more. In many of the projects wool felt is used, but I am sure the projects can be just as effective with acrylic felt. The projects all feature lots of layers and embellishments creating a stunning finished effect. A highly recommended book!

WOW WOW WOW!!!! I just love this book - beautiful, very colourful and inspiring pictures and I have already made many of the things Madeleine has so cleverly constructed. Have just bought a few washing up bowls, salt, dyes and an old blanket from a charity shop to have a go at dying my own "felt". I just can't put this book down. Fantastic and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who loves creating colourful things!

Lovely book - colourful clear photographs illustrate how each project is done. Pages of full-size templates at the back. Embroidery instructions included.The writer also explains how she makes and dyes her own felt out of woollen blankets and clothing. The sort of projects you could do with the children quite easily and keep their interest.

This book is much better than I expected. Lots of lovely ideas and really clear instructions.A lovely colourful 'cheery' book that certainly inspires you to have a go and make the lovely projects. The photography of the projects is excellent as they look sort of 3D.
