Recommend
I recommend reading this if you are in any type of university course. This book helps breakdown the method of case study analysis, as well as provides samples of case studies for you to practice. Very well written.

Case Study
Mandatory reading for my HBR course. Helpful for writing the papers in the course, but more of a one time reference.

Useful Investment
Used this to prepare for my graduate boards but as a QI and project manager, I think it gives insight into finding the true source of organization dysfunction. Gives a solid introduction to case analysis; my study partner who was preparing for the bar said she found it useful too. Well organized and clear.

Great book and great seller
This book was on my list and I’m glad I was able to get it; it’s not available in the country I’m living in. I just wanted to thank Rarewaves; for helping me during the delivery process. They are very attentive and very customer-friendly.I recommend this book (and the seller).

Its a counterfeited product for sure
Though content is what I am concerned about yet sometime the quality of pages, prints etc. matters, since it gives a value and comfort to the reader. This book is for sure counterfeited because I also received other HBR books from the same series which are far superior in quality.I found dust and dirt inside the book, dusty thumb prints as well. Print is very light compare to other HBR books.Be careful when you order this book from this seller. You may be paying super premium for a counterfeited product.

Great book as a reference material, but not as a full read
This book intends to teach readers how to read/digest/break down case studies and be able to discuss, write documents and present results, basically covering start-to-end journey of doing cases. I already left grad school awhile ago, but purchased out of curiosity with hopes to improve case analysis skills. For those who are not familiar with cases, they are sometimes a mix of fictional/real-company based scenarios that are written from a third person point of view with written paragraphs and often with datasets that typically include certain business/moral challenges that a reader needs to resolve. The end of a case always ends with loose ends and you as a reader needs to analyze and come up with conclusions/next course of actions. So business classes typically go over cases together through questions, discussions, writing, and conclusions. So back to the book review, the book goes through this entire case analysis step end to end very much in detail, meaning some or most of information might not be relevant for you especially for business professionals and I understand that the book is intended for students. Here are my thoughts:Who it's for:-students or academia whose daily tasks involve heavy detailed case analysis or designing activities based on cases.-students who really want to know how to get involved in case discussions and excel.who it's not for:-business professionals who want to improve case analysis skills. I'd rather direct you to case interview and consulting books instead. There are a few chapters that discuss how to dissect and understand cases but goes into very granular details and perhaps you might not be interested in buying the whole book just for these few chapters.-another concern is the book is intended mostly for business students particuarly MBAs I assume but the thing is as I was a student as well, you're super busy managing multiple courses, projects, extracurricular activities + job searches that I'm not sure if you want to spend time reading this entire book to ace in cases which typically don't last for too long in classes. I'd rather advise you to just talk to TAs and professors directly and follow their methodologies. Therefore, this book is best to be kept as a reference, like a dictionary and take a look when sometimes you're in doubt with case analysis, but not intended for reading entire book from a beginning to the end.
