A small, easy to use coffeemaker that makes delicious coffee. Make sure you get the proper grind coffee and make sure to remove from heat source as soon as you start hearing the loud gurgling sound. The gasket will eventually wear out, so keep a spare or two on hand. I'm not Italian, so "6-cup" is a single serving for me (a mug), or 2 small servings.

Originally I switched 100% to bialetti because my 300$ espresso machine crapped out. Rather than shelling out another car payment for my coffee, I tried the alternative my Grandfather used after the great war. It changed everything for me. Sure its not the same as “espresso” but I cannot tell the difference and unless you pull shots for a living I doubt you’ll notice either..I bought this one because my wife recently switched from tea to coffee and the 3 cup pot was no longer enough.. the 6 cup takes a little longer and my wife struggles to take it apart, but its great.

Makes 6 shots of Illy espresso - enough for 3 typical double-shot servings… using it every morning on the stove without issue…

Initially this worked as described and expected. Was used almost daily and occasionally twice a day. After about a year the bottom of the vessel where water goes and the top portion where the coffee accumulates began to pir exposing some underlying base metal. This is unacceptable and concerning to me. I was very careful to use filtered water and used mild dishsoap to clean it after each use. The coffee was quite good but the pitting was a no go. I have ordered a stainless steel french press as an alternative replacement.

It was missing the extra filter and gasket but customer service gave me a partial credit to make up for that.I was disappointed because it’s not the same as my original small one - this one is definitely one made in China - but it functions just as well.It makes great espresso style drinks, whether you take it black or with steamed milk.

Takes a little while to make the coffee, but it's fun to watch the steamed coffee flow up the tube into the top. Very tasty, when mixed with hot milk or hot water [1/3 cup coffee + 2/3 cups other]. The ad said makes 6 cups, but only makes 1 cup of concentrated coffee, which can make 3 cups Americano style coffee.

So I don't think I am particularly stupid but when it said a 6-cup espresso maker I assumed that meant it was a 6-cup espresso maker.....I love the Bialetti makes amazing espresso.......but it isn't 6-cups it makes 12 OZ of espresso......So maybe change the heading to Bialetti Express 12 OZ espresso maker......And yes, I should have read all the description but the heading was 6-CUP and the reviews where exceptional.....

Has been our regular coffee maker for a long time now and goes through extensive use. Great product and performance as expected.
