Watch out for your knees
This is actually 2 work outs in one. It starts out with about a 3 minute warm up and stretch, followed by the first 10 minute program of mainly different variations of squats. The second 10 minute workout is essentially much the same as the first except that it moves faster and you work on leg at a time rather than alternate each leg per move. This was design to complement Kathy Smith's Functionally Fit Peak Fat Burning work out which is aerobic intervals and actually uses some of the same moves in this video. It's OK for beginners. You really do feel it in your buns and thigh, but not really much of a challenge. After a while I got bored and all those bends started to bother my knees.

Short and effective
I bought this workout to add some lower body work to my exercise regime. I do thirty minutes of cardio daily, core work three times a week, and now this workout twice a week. The exercises are deceptively simple, but very effective. If you concentrate on good form, you will feel it the next day (and the day after...). I've been using this workout now for three weeks, and I've already seen great improvement in my leg strength, endurance, and also my balance. I think the moves are very well done because they are things you would do in every day life (bending, squatting, balancing), thus the functional fitness label. I should also mention I've had some trouble with my knees in the past, but none with this workout. I've been exercising for fourteen years and this is one of the best tapes I've done. If you want a short, effective, functional fitness leg workout with a no-nonsense instructor, this one's for you.

Good for beginners
I have tried out other DVDs by Kathy like Functionally Fit,Peak fat Burning and Weight Loss work out. Functionally Fit has really worked for me.I rarely do Weight Loss work out as it's a lengthy one..but if u have plenty of time..u can follow that as that's also a good one.I thought of concentrating more on my lower body which is a little bit out of shape.It has more or less same moves and some new ones that are there in Functionally Fit but it's a dedicated lower body workout..U'll not be out of breath as the moves are not that first..But it'll certainly firm up ur lower body.Over all it's a good one.

DVD does not work.
Received the product in original packaging and disc appearing to be in good condition, BUT it does not work on ant DVD player. So useless if trying to view.

Love Kathy, she is a classic
I am a fitness vidiot and workout with videos often. Kathy is a long time respected instructor on film and this basic lower body workout does not disappoint. This is perfect for builds like myself, that seem to quickly gain muscle in my legs. It's challenging without the weights so I can still get the great lower body workout without having to heavy up resistance. She can be a little chatty, but she really isn't annoying.

Kicks Butt
I love this DVD. You can just do the warmup (which does get the blood moving), 1st workout, and cooldown (good for beginners)or do the whole routine for a more intense workout. Either way you definately will feel your lower half the next day! Kathy gives good instruction and the moves are easy to follow. It also feels like an aerobic workout as well with the flow from one set of movements to the next. For those of you who don't like to exercise (like me) you will love how fast it goes. Just when I think I can't do anymore. . .it's over!

色々なバリエーションがあるにせよ、基本的にはスクワットの繰り返しです。始めのウォームアップのところは結構アップテンポで、様々な動きを取れいれてあり、「おっ?いいかな?」と思いましたが、全体的に色んな種類のスクワットを片足ずつ繰り返しただけのプログラムです。(上げた足を横に出したり、後ろに回したり)汗はかなりかきますし、翌日は足全体がものすごい筋肉痛になります。なので、効き目はかなりあると思います。しかしプログラムが単調すぎるので、継続するのはきっと難しいでしょう。
