I have to say that I was quite pleased with the results
Never had installed a tile floor before and was told that the epoxy grouts were harder to use than the standard sanded and un-sanded grout products after my purchase. Having only used this product and being totally inexperienced, I have to say that I was quite pleased with the results. I purchase this grout because of the water and stain resistance. I can't really speak to the effectiveness of either property because the floor has only been down about a month. That said, so far so good. I didn't want to deal with resealing and just general long term maintenance because I already have enough other stuff to keep up! I would point out that in my experience the grout was slightly more pliable than plumbers putty and so I found it pretty difficult to spread with the rubber float. I saw videos of people doing this and also using a grout bag to lay down grout lines. I found both quite difficult. I resorted to using my margin trowel to "pinch off" ribbons of grout which I laid down on the cracks and then proceeded to work in with the float. All in all this worked reasonably well, though I am sure that if you can move it better with a float that would go faster. I was also surprised at how easily it cleaned up - that was a big concern going into this project.

21st century grout
As a DIY guy, I agonized over grout! Yep good old ground that isn't too old anymore.Grout is that thing that can make or break a tile job. I needed a grout that can withstand the unintentional abuses a family can wreak on a floor, especially when a blind autistic young adult has accidents on the floor.Who wants dark dated grout when newer lighter colored (stain resistant) grouts can match today's unbelievably beautiful tile that are taken from a hi-resolution pictures of exotic stones and woods? I planned and learned for five years about tiling advancements as I saved for the construction materials. there's so much stuff out that it can overwhelm the DIYer.Spectralock pro silver shadow was the grout that matched my floor tile. I as I spread it out, it was dark silver, darker than the veins in the porcelain tile. It is a very light colored grout, almost white after it cured. While I do use cleaners like Tilex or oxi cleaners to get this grout to look newly installed, it only takes a few minutes because this grout is waterproof and stain resistant. This grout never needs to be sealed. There are no fluorescent lights in my bathroom because some people say that the new grouts yellow due to sunlight and fluorescent lights. All of my lighting is LED and I've never saw a complaint about Spectralock pro turning yellow in any of the forums I studied before I did the renovation. Again this grout is not perfect, but doggone close. When installing it does slump in the joint and smear, so you really have to work it into the joint like the directions call for. And you got to be fast with it, just follow the cleaning instructions so you don't have any heartache trying to get up the residue haze. Use a chamois to really get up that residue or a Micro fiber waffle weave cloth. While it is expensive for this modern grout, the benefits outweigh the cost especially if you're doing a small area like the floor in my bathroom. Lastly, as I mentioned above, it is waterproof and never needs sealing. Though it does stain, unlike cementitious grouts, to get it back to new takes little effort especially if you get the stain up quickly.A word of advice. Get some cement board and your mastic or thinset, adhere your tiles using the proper size trowel. Develop your troweling techniques and try back buttering your tiles for added strength (read up on back buttering tile, you will be amazed).Any fancy cuts, try them out before doing the actual job. If you can afford it, try out you grouts and see how they spread and what they look like when cured.I wanted my white subway tile to have a monolithic look so I tried different versions of white grouts to give this effect. Doing these mockup boards allows the DIYer to see what their finished product will look like and avoid costly tear outs. Also try out any silicone sealants to make sure they match your tile and or grout.Make sure you buy extra...just incase, especially something that is not commonly found or easy to get.

Great Product.
I had a huge project and used several full kits and several mini. Every one over a time span of three months had a perfect color match. It's an expensive product but well worth the money.
