INDESTRUCTIBLE
We purchased a two pack of these tablets for our daughter's for Christmas last year. They love them. As far as the charge, it doesnt last super long but my daughters dont need to be glued to their tablets anyway... They can play it for an easy 4-5 hours straight with out it dying. It was perfect for road trips. But what really stands out about them is how indestructible they are. I have girls three under three who fight over everything. This tablets has fallen down the stairwell many of times, been jumped/stood on, thrown, and as of today thrown out a window. Specifically thrown out a window going 65 mph down the highway. My daughter was trying to keep it from her sister and her window happened to be open (tablets dont normally go in the car) and the wind grabbed it just right and gone it was... It literally bounced from the left lane, across the right lane and into the shoulder. These pics are after being thrown from the window. The only damage is on the back upper left corner, other than that literally NO DAMAGE. How?? Im still unsure myself.

Put the money towards and iPad
****UPDATED REVIEW: After over 6months of letting my kids use this tablet I’ve decided to decrease my rating to 3 stars. This tablet is so slow and such a pain in the butt to maneuver. My child downloads heaps of games because all you have to do is tap an icon to begin a download. So when storage begins to run low I have to get on the tablet to delete games and it is a painfully slow process. Also the tablet gets stuck in “offline” mode while there are no restrictions in place and WiFi is working fine on all other devices. This isn’t even worth the $100. Might as well save that and put it towards and Apple iPad because my daughter ends up playing with my iPad since her tablet is so sucky. She’ll love anything that plays songs and videos but even she gets annoyed with it because it hardly works anymore.Original Review:I’m not tech savvy, and I am an Apple user, but these tablets get the job done enough for our kids.. We purchased them for Christmas for our two daughters, 1.5 and 5 yrs (to avoid sibling jealousy) , and while they’re recommended for 3+ my 1.5 year old loves hers and it’s helped her learn her alphabet, numbers, and songs. There’s only so many times I can repeat the alphabet for her, but the Disney buddies alphabet and numbers app are her favorite and she can listen to Mickey song the ABCs as many times as she’d like! But I’m not a huge fan of the software/freetime program itself. I love the concept and appreciate that I can trust the content on the program is all child appropriate, to me it’s not visually pleasing, messy layout, and not user friendly. They keyboard isnt the easiest to use, the software runs slower than I’d like, and the Amazon FreeTime program is not very organized. Everything is all in 1 page, downloaded apps, suggested apps, recently watches videos, etc. all on one. Our kids have downloaded a lot of games they didn’t mean to because one tap begins a download of a game when they didn’t realize that it wasn’t a game they already had on there, it was one of the suggested apps. Which leads to my next complaint of the space issue. Definitely buy an SD card for additional storage. While I would still prefer an Apple product to this, it was only about $50/pc during the sale, and it keep the girls busy on long car rides or during quiet time in the house. The case works well to protect them also. Battery life is good.

Hate the set up.
I don't like the set up because my kids are free to just tap anything and then it automatically downloads. It not only shows the apps they have but it shows apps that they don't have and they can just simply tap on whatever and then it downloads. Now I have to constantly go through it and remove them just so they can turn right back around and tap/download them again and again smh. Then the memory gets full and starts lagging and freezing. I really do wish it would only show the apps that are downloaded.

Don’t buy it!!! The software is not compatible with device
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. The recent software update Fire OS 7.3.1.7 that is a requirement for the Amazon Kids Fire 7 leaves the device completely useless has jumpy led screen, must be on wifi at all times or the the things on the device may or may not open, or it may open a different app than what it says. I have spent endless hours on the phone with customer service who assured me tech support would resolve the issues within 3 days. They aren’t planning on it. When I called back I was told the software update had to be done. The software update is incompatible with the devices so either fix the devices or give me devices that are compatible with the software! I have 2 devices both are having same issues since update. The devices won’t read sd cards either, on restart the unit says the sd card can not be found.

Love the content
I have loved this brand of kid's tablet for years, now. My main complaints are that some games do not rotate with the tablet, and the previous format was more user friendly, for kids. Now, the kid's home screen just seems overcrowded with all these different games and books they can choose. It was much better when the only apps on the home screen were the downloaded and recently used ones. Other than that, I love it.

durable
Got 2 for a good price for my girls ages one and two. I got one for the 1 year old just because they were a great deal for 2. Im not good with electronics but it is super easy to use and download for adventures away from wifi. My 2 year old navigates and finds things i couldnt and she can find them everytime. I have all our profiles set and only hers is open on her tablet so i dont have to worry about her gettting into things she shouldnt. They are super durable the stand is sturdy and easy for them to adjust she drops hers and has for some reason decided to start standing on it it has withheld the terror of a 2 year old and not even a scratch on it. I plan to purchase more in the future for gifts.
