Precision Kitchenware - Professional Garlic Press / Mincer

I was searching for a different garlic press online, and a link to this one appeared. The garlic press had such good reviews, and the price was right, so I decided to go for it! With my Amazon.com Prime account, I received the press within two days.I have only used this garlic press once since receiving it, and based on that one use, I can say that the garlic press works as described. All the garlic and essential oils were pressed from the garlic clove and into the waiting dish. Be sure to have a paring knife handy so that you can scrape everything from the front of the press. Inside the press, all that remained was the outer paper of the garlic clove. The press is made of sturdy and attractive stainless steel.So why a rating of four stars instead of five? It is because of the way the garlic hopper is formed. Stay with me, because I think this is going to be hard to describe. The hopper is shaped from one piece of steel. The end of the hopper is "folded" to complete the shape, and the seams that are formed with the sides of the hopper have not been sealed, so there is a very small opening between the back and two sides of the hopper. I'm not concerned with garlic getting stuck in the holes, but I have already had to take a pin to get pieces of garlic out of this open area. I see this as a design flaw, and would suggest that this be changed.All in all, though, this is a very nice product!

This doesn't feel like a quality product, but I to say that it sure does crush garlic unlike any other. It was with sadness that my old Kitchenaid garlic press was put to rest in the trash can. This is the replacement for that workhorse. I am a person who likes to mix things up a little, so I read some reviews and decided to try this one. The box that it comes in will worry you. Surely such a cheap looking box cannot contain a kitchen tool that stands up to the punishment that a clove of garlic can dish out. Once you take that shiny and hefty press out of the cheesy box, forget you ever saw such packaging. You can move on to appreciation for the fantastic pressing power of this tool. It performs admirably, but clean up is a different story. I am no kitchen guru and maybe I am missing something, but I have a hard time getting the skin out of the basket. It seems that there should be an easier way because the basket moves independently of the 2 pressing parts. Confused? Me too. Bottom line: it works well, but cleaning could easily be made more efficient by adding little prongs to push the skin back out of the basket, like most presses have.

We were excited to get a new garlic press, but we were disappointed with how much space there was on the sides for the garlic cloves to squeeze out. After you put your garlic in the first time it’s impossible to add more without making a big mess because the chamber is very loose. It was not worth the price.

Quality product. Not just for garlic- i use it for mashing fruits & veggies for my hermit crab babies, something I had never thought of before. As far as garlic presses go, this one is top of the line.Effective, easy to use and easier to clean- all parts stay together. Well worth the cost, I am a roasted garlic freak- i roast a big bag of garlic weekly, then peel it out for paste, which i use for toast and pasta seasoning . As peeling is a messy pain, I am especially happy with this press. presses the garlic pulp out completely and i have no sticky garlic fingers. may have to start cooking up a double batch. Definitely one of my favorite purchases

We cook a lot in our house hold and we looke for items that will add efficiency and effectiveness to our cooking times, we use a lot of fresh produce and almost everything we cook uses garlic, so this garlic press was a good purchase well constructed, kind of heavy (which gives the air of quality), presses the garlic well, a pretty good purchase. It was shipped and arrived in the time identified on the order, actually a little sooner!

I've never owned a garlic press before so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but I really like this one. I hate mincing garlic myself, like truly hate it, but my boyfriend's favorite meal calls for it and is wildly easy otherwise so this keeps everyone happy. I just put the garlic in, smush it down over the crockpot, throw away the skins and pop it in the dishwasher. I've been using this thing pretty much weekly for at least a month or two now with a trip through the dishwasher after each use and no issues with wear and tear. I'm not one to baby my kitchen utensils, so this is great for me.

This garlic press works well. Once loaded with garlic, the levers press down easily, releasing the garlic through the grates in uniform pieces so that it can be easily scraped off with a knife. The cleaning process requires a flick of the knife point to discard the spent garlic. I also like the heft of the handles. It does the job efficiently, and will do nicely for me.

The Garlic press came with out a problem, the unit is smooth and no rough edges. It does a complete job to get all of the garlic squeezed out of the clove. The only improvement I can see a mechanical system to increase the pressure. It takes more hand effort to get it to work than I thought it would,From the info about the product it said it worked with very little pressure on the handles, other wise it is a great product. We will be buying more items from you in the future.

This is a high quality product made of thick gauge stainless steel (the thickness in the photos is the thickness of the actual product). However, its hinged basket makes it a bit awkward to use and clean compared to my old garlic press. The swinging basket is an extra moving part to manage when loading the garlic, and it creates extra cracks and surfaces to clean and dry. The basket also has seams in the corners in which the garlic mash gets caught. I prefer garlic presses where the basket and lower handle are a single integrated piece.

I think lots of thought has gone into designing this. Its stainless steel body means it will be durable (unlike the coated one I had to replace). Mincing garlic does not require a lot of strength and I'm delighted that cleaning is also very easy and unlike my previous press I don't need a pin to clean every single hole but just rinse under hot water (provided you do it quickly before the garlic gets dry and sticky ...even then, soaking will solve it). I find this press so easy to use that garlic consumption has more than doubled in our household! Well done precision kitchenware!

I've had it for a few years now. It does a great job of mincing fresh garlic, and it cleans up easily too.

Love the smooth round comfortable handles and the way the grating part swings out for easy cleaning. It copes with a whole unpeeled garlic clove perfectly, leaving just the shell, though not two at the same time as it requires so much strength to press the handles together I can't do it. It feels very sturdy and strong. It's best bit is its made of steel (I dislike aluminium). Well worth the money, its the best garlic press I have ever seen or owned. I recommend it.

Very easy to use. I would advise to clean it right away because then the garlic dries up and it is harder to remove. But overall works great
