Great product!
I’ve been using this cable for like 6 years. I also own several other adapters, including 5 different hd adapters which use the lightning port or usb c.I LOVE this cable. I do not take it out to play live gigs, but I use this pretty much exclusively when practicing at home. Sounds great, easy to use, works with all the apps I’ve tried, even someAndroid apps (which I only tried to see what would happen), and have used on many different iPhones and iPads. I can’t say enough good things about the quality to cost of this cable. It has made my practicing way more convenient for line six years now.

This thing is awesome
Exactly what you need to write songs without pissing off everyone else in the house. The ishred app is lame, but the cable works great with garage band azpp fro the iphone. I used this as a patch from my pre amp output to the iphone through Garage Band's clean channel 65 bassman amp mod. Sounded great. If your a musician and song writer, this is perfect for you to lay down tracks with cool distortion, and record the tracks and send to the rest of the band. If your just someone who wants to jam out, this will be your new obsession!

Works Great with GarageBand
I wanted a simple way to hook my guitar up to my mac and/or iPad and this was the answer. I cannot speak for Amplink or any of the other apps out there, but if you want an easy adapter for GarageBand, this setup works great. It interfaces well with my system and allows me to practice, and learn without having to spend an enormous amount on stomp boxes and amps. I know you cannot compare to the real thing, but for someone like me who is learning, this is a great tool. Highly recommend for GarageBand users.

Works great with iPhone/iPad but NOT with MacBook Retina
Works fine for me with iShred LIVE, Amplitude, Garage Band, etc. on both iPhone and iPad ... but DEFINITELY NOT with a MacBook Retina. I was hoping it would and I'm slightly curious as to why it doesn't, because I have Apple headphones with built-in mic and three-element plug that work on BOTH iPhone/iPad AND my MacBook Retina.Does anyone have a technical explanation as to why an Apple headphone/mic works on both devices but this cable only works on the iDevices? Is there an adapter that can make this cable work on with a MacBook Retina?Or, is there another single cable similar to this that I can use to plug in directly to my MacBook Retina? Thanks!

Great cable, stupid app
This is a very sturdy cable. I have been using it for a while now, but that app that they try and pitch is really lame. If you need a cord that will plug in your guitar and give you a head phone out, pick this one up!

Unusable for Android versions before Lollipop and very noisy. Only works well with later Samsung phones and Android 5.x.
Very noisy. I was disappointed that the current version of Android is too slow to work without a terrible latency (to the point of being unusable). Lollipop is supposed to fix that, but it's not been released for my phone (Samsung Note 3) yet. I finally just bought Focusrite Scalett to connect my guitar to a DAW and Amplitube 3 on my desktop computer. Would still love to have a suitable mobile solution (without having to buy an iPhone). It does work better on my iPad, but it is still noisy. Digital iRigs are reportedly the best.Update: I updated to Lollipop on my Note 3. Andrig no longer runs, but if you download Amplitube from the Samsung store, it works. There is a very small amount of latency, but not enough to be disorienting. You can only use Amplitube on Samsung phones because of the Samsung Pro Audio on the *later* devices (Note 3, 4, S5, S6). I notice that there is an irigHD-A digital interface for android too. It's a $100. Oh, and this cable still sucks because it's very noisy, but at least I know the software can work on my Note 3 with Android 5.x.

Works great, buy 10 because they break quickly!
I bought this for my iPad. I'm running my guitar into Amplitube and saw no reason to pay $40 for an iRig which is basically just an adapter. Now I know why. This thing worked wonderfully the first time, even the first 6 times. I've now used it 10 times and the cheap plastic 1/4" jack is completely shorted out. Useless. So I wasted 20 bucks, and will now go buy an iRig or Amplink or something not Griffin.

Great Value! Surprisingly Clear Sound!
Great buy! I bought this to plug into my iPhone for garage band to practice through an amp without using an amp. I was not expecting it to sound as clean and clear as it did! I’ve used it for demo recordings and a looper effectively!

very durable and reliable
very cool. others here describe problems ive yet to experience. its compatible with every app I've used (Multitrack DAW, Nano Studio, Beatmaker2, Moog Filtron, Orange Amp. Echo Pad, Guitar Amp, Jam Up Pro, etc. +more). its great to be able to plug my guitar in to a MOBILE effects unit, just to play or to record 'on the go' or for musical project work. I've even routed the headphone output to an amplifier and had great tone/effects...any review that blames/has issue with using this cable has mistaken their problem. this cable is as straight forward and compatible as it gets. simple, inexpensive and efficient+.

Buen producto
