Comfortable and lightweight
I bought these last minute for my holiday as I knew we’d be doing a lot of walking and hiking. They are so comfortable and size 5 was a perfect fit. I was worried they’d tear up my heals like all new shoes do, but they didn't at all, we went on several hikes and they have great grip on rocks and are so lightweight and didn't make my feet sweat on warm days - a problem I often have!We walked through wet grass and they remained dry, however the mesh got very wet and made my feet cold, but my socks were still bone dry. They look really good too - not big and clumpy like some hiking trainers! I ended up wearing them all the time - not just for hiking.I’d definitely recommend these if you’re after a lightweight, waterproof hiking trainer.

Stylish, lightweight, waterproof and amazingly comfortable.
I’ve always been a huge fan of Merrells. These do not disappoint. They fit perfectly I am a size 5 and they are absolutely spot on. They are lightweight, waterproof and extremely comfortable. The best Merrells I have ever purchased. They definitely do not look cheap. Very stylish and good quality just what you would expect of Merrell.

Great light weight walking shoe
Used for first time on a 10 mile walk in the Peak District. Very comfortable considering it was the first time wearing them. They are very lightweight and were good on all different types of terrain. Not tested the waterproof qualities yet. True to size for me (I have narrow feet) if have wider feet may need half a size up.

Sleek, feminine and practical. Buy them
Bought these for my girlfriend, who has dinky little size 5's. She wore them for her first proper walk at the weekend, a 15km trek through the Lincolnshire wolds after a week of reasonably heavy rain. She said they are "the most comfortable shoes she's ever worn" and that her feet were bone dry after the walk. This is after 4 hours of walking through long, soggy grass and even after a couple of missteps into some boggy mud.The design is really sleek and feminine, they don't look like your average walking shoe. Perfect if you don't want to look like a middle aged rambler! ;)No complaints from her about rubbing or soreness.Overall, really happy with the purchase and I would say they are great value for money. You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to walking shoes.

Good sizing plenty of toe room.
Plenty of toe room and good sizing I bought size 8 and have long toes so still can wear thick socks with these hiking shoes and feel comfortable even to drive in. I wear these as shoes all day for work as they are pretty flexible! and have been in a couple of down pours in the rain and they seem pretty water proof to me.I have not used these for proper hiking so can’t tell you about that.

Comfortable bright ladies walking shoe - not waterproof
UpdateHad shoes a while now and the wet weather and wet grass. They leak. Wet feet every time i go for a walk. Summer shoe at bestLove, love the colours and worn straight from the box and comfortable on relatively short walks not tried on a longer walk yet.The colours on this shoe are so nice I don’t want to get them dirty.I purchased these to replace a pair of old approach shoes which I now use year round for walking the dog on very muddy ground in the woods near my house. But I am doubtful whether these would be durable enough to stand up to heavy wet conditions whilst keeping my feet dry and lasting several years.

fell apart within 6 months
Heard good things about merrell so spent way more than I normally would on what I thought were high quality hiking shoes so you can imagine my utter disappointment that they have barely lasted 6 months. Took a while to break in but didn't hold it against them, then they slowly started letting in more and more water (my hike can get pretty wet and muddy so again it wasn't too much of a bother getting a bit damp every once in a while when it was very wet outside) and now 6 months later when they need to stand up to the weather the most they are absolutely soaking walking through damp grass, the laces have split and starting to separate and the backs and soles have worn thin. Severely disappointed, waste of money, do not recommend.

Somewhat disappointing
I took time in reviewing different shoes and felt these met with all my expectations. Good fit, comfortable , sturdy sole suitable for walking and waterproofI have had them almost a year and they are starting to leak. Even walking through wet grass my socks are soaking - so overal great initially but did not last

Great for dress, shopping, running i need a more aggressive sole, got black, stylish and comfortable. Fits true 7.5 with any thickness socks or bare feet too. Waterproof too. Not heavy, light weight. Worth the money.
