SHIMANO Crankset 8-speed Black FC-M311 48/38/28T 175mm

Moderate weight. I like the number of teeth, you don't have to peddle like you are in a spin class to make good speed. I hate it when people criticise the misshapen teeth, not realising they are meant to be like that to enable easier gear changes and if there is run out in the rings, try taking it of, slightly grease the spindle and re fit. It may not be the chainset, but the spindle or fitting that are at fault. Also note that when you change any gear component, the other parts may need adjusting. I have fitted several of these sets and found them perfectly good.

Shins on is good brand hence why bought.However on fitting left crank pedal it threaded straight away and had to buy another left crank. The metal seems softer than on other cranks fitted. The right crank seems to be holding fine but bit concerned as not sure if this is a cheaper quality made part than usual due to supply issues at moment getting bike parts???

About what I expected from a Shimano crank set. Good solid product strait swap for a customer. Fits well works well.

I had a 118mm bottom bracket and this crank set fitted perfectly.

Cheap and good quality. Heavy though. I'm using it on a bike set up for swift so weight not an issue

Good value for money cycle shop wanted £90 to supply and fit so saved about £60
