Watch Out! Some of these are 5v only.
I bought this Autolover rearview cam, tested it on USB and worked fine. (NOTE: It only had a USB connector.) Instructions and box say it is 12-18V, so I connected it to 12v and instantly ruined it.I bought the same camera from a different dealer, boxes identical, but the wiring on the second one is totally different. There is a regulator inline on the second one and three bare wires, black, yellow, red.Instructions are poor and slightly different on both, especially about the yellow wire. A few UTube videos showed the 3 wire unit. Not the USB unit.

Good quality Video
I gave the product came as described, easy to install and has good picture quality...BUT The problem is you have to first go into reverse, then go into your WiFi settings, connect then go back into your app to get the image to pop onto your phone. Once connected, say you back up, need to drive forward to adjust and reverse again, well now that you went out of reverse the app automatically disconnects you from WiFi and you have to do the whole process over again to reconnect making the point of a backup camera kinda useless and annoying.Update: I upgraded my review to 4 stars. The company has great customer service, who was nice enough to contact me and let me know they contacted their department to inquiry into the issue I had with the camera as mentioned above and offered to either refund me or provide me a new one. I decided to do neither since I found a work around. If you install the camera to your parking light you can have the camera run full time bypassing the reverse lights. You only have to make sure though that once you drive off, you turn off the hotspot WiFi so you don’t use up your data on the phone staying connected.

Meh...
I'm very comfortable with technology so, this wasn't a big deal for me. Certainly have not had any of the technical issues a lot of other reviews have had. App is pretty basic, but solid. I'm using Android 10. My phone wants to disconnect from the Wifi AdHoc network created by the camera because it doesn't have internet (duh). So I did have to force this setting in my phone so it would remain connected.Image is okay (what do you expect for $40?) but there is about half to 3/4 of a second in delay. Which is pretty bad.Setting this up to power up with the reverse light, you will need a 12V to USB adapter (if you got the USB powered version). This cable is not included. I did it this way, but honestly it takes some time for the camera network to appear.I seriously doubt this camera will survive continuous operation.

Great cam for the price
The media could not be loaded. This is really an awesome cam for the price. I saw that most of the negative reviews related to folks who removed the USB connection and wired it to the car directly. Not sure why you would do that. Plugged mine into a cigarette lighter to USB adapter. Followed the app instructions and instantly had a backup camera. The picture is quite clear. Yes there is a bit of lag. Maybe 1/2 sec or so, but it is a $40 cam with Wi-Fi. I wouldn't expect anything more. It hooks up to my iPhone 11 instantly. I do have a smaller car, but the signal seemed strong even 40 feet away from the car. App records video and takes stills. No issues at all. Though, if your going from a place your already connected to Wi-Fi, say your home, and the phone is still connected to that network, you have to go into settings and change over to the cameras network. But when out and about, my phone sees that as the primary network and automatically connects instantaneously!Highly recommend, but keep in mind, if your looking for a 4K pic that is perfect and no lag, this is not the cam for you. If you want something to make sure there is nobody walking behind the car or navigating a tricky driveway in the dark, this works well.

Stopped working after 1 day!
This camera worked one day. The power wires are the size of two human hairs but doesn't require much current, just a pain to wire. The F-Car app is terrible. Crashes more than it works. When It did work, the image is quite delayed and it would crash right as I was backing up. Went to use it the next day and it won't connect at all. I can see the wifi signal but no dice. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting phone, restarting camera... Nothing. I'll be returning ASAP. BUYER BEWARE!!!

I want so badly to like this
I bought this for a small trailer behind my SUV. Installation was a snap, it connects easily when I’m standing next to it. The picture is clear and sharp. Unfortunately the WiFi connection isn’t strong enough to Be useful. I tried (while sitting still) to have someone walk behind the trailer and they wouldn’t show up for me. I might get a glimpse of them, but certainly not enough to be useful or safe. If anyone has suggestions I’ll take them - it’s so close to a useful gadget...

Apps required to run the camera don’t work.
The camera looked fine but it requires an app on your mobile device to run. The apps don’t work very well. I tried both Apple and Android and neither worked. I couldn’t get an image at all on the android app and I got one image on the iPad but it froze and wouldn’t reset. Both devices showed a good WiFi connection but no joy. I ended up returning it and getting a wired camera.

terrible video quality
you get what you pay for..video is super low resolution, grainy and brakes up after a few minutes of use..only using as a back up cam then shutting cam off so it works good enough in that capacity, however, I would not have purchased it if I had known just how bad the wifi connection was. Instructions are vague, and they only give you a USB power cable so you have to cut it to attach a 12v plug or to hard wire it to vehicle
