Speed Dawg SK-MBR12125W-BK Black Shifter Boot Retainer for Mustang

This boot retainer works perfectly with my new Shelby GT500 Shift Knob. Install was fairly straight forward, though if you do need to use the instructions you may find yourself lost. The retainer came with several pieces of hardware but the instructions only covers one attaching piece. It happened to be the piece I needed so I just tossed the extra hardware.I did knock one star off because the finish on this boot retainer looks matte black in the picture, which is what I wanted. The retainer I received is very much gloss black though. It still looks good in my car though, so I won't complain too much.

I used it to build my own shifter handle out of a game console so it would resemble a fighter jet control stick. I had to alter the threads to make it work but it held up and finished out great

Fits well between the boot and Hurst shift knob I purchased. Had to keep the locking nut with the knob, because it was too loose otherwise. Good fit, good finish, I'm very happy with the overall look it gives. Shipping was quick and arrived well before the due date

I love what this little guy did to my driving experience! Bought a cheap shifter knob for looks and didn't realize i would need this retainer for any aftermarket knob, but now my setup looks great! Note: in my case, this plus the knob raised my hand position up by about half an inch or slightly more

Great quality and look. I only wish it came with it's on zip ties or some type of retainer to actually secure the boot to the retainer.

Served it's purpose. Rather large. More for muscle car styling.
