PersolPO0649 Aviator Sunglasses

Despite the many negative reviews for this product through this particular seller I decided to purchase. When I received the item I noticed the bridge was scuffed and had lint stuck in it. I notified seller who could not "see" any damage. I've added a photo of my tortoise 649 so you can compare it to the black one I received. Tortoise pair has nice clean lines on bridge while the black pair is scuffed with uneven lines.Update:10/2/17Returned original and re-ordered. Second one arrived scuffed on the chassis and on the temples returning this one as well. These are absolutely not in new condition and must be defective ones Persol. After buying and returning two different pair I would not recommend.

This sunglasses are definitely not new came with the sticker on the glass but everything else was off frames where scratch all over and two of the scratches where to big to ignore and the persol logo on the glass was faded

After 3 exchanges for crocked hinges, etc., I received this one with the apparent issues mentioned in the pictures. The 1st time I see the "Persol" imprint on the outside of the arm (only on one arm) instead of the usual spot on the inside of each arm. Unless this is the new way I would think this is a counterfeit product.

I lost my P0649s in the ocean, so I ordered these. I fully expected them to be fake, but figured the worst outcome was I return them.They are real, high quality, with crystal lenses.Only differences - different case than Sunglass Hut gives you (who cares) and for some reason the etching in the lenses wasn’t sanded properly so it kinda grabs the microfiber cloth (who cares).This is definitely the way to go if you want Persols and don’t want to drop $350

I was a little suspicious when I saw the price on these. I got an extraordinary deal on these glasses from this supplier Sunglass Express. I don't know why but I have some idea. The case was not as strong as a case I got with a previous pair of Persols I bought a few weeks ago. It was flimsy plastic as opposed to hard plastic. The glasses appeared to have been worn and were probably returned by another buyer or were a demo pair in a display case. The hinges were looser, although the lenses were perfect. In all, I'm very satisfied and saved over a hundred dollars on these glasses. They appear genuine in every way and I compared them to what I know to be an authentic pair by staring at the reflection of my pool late in the afternoon. They are definitely polarized and the optics are good. The brown lenses allow in more light than the grey/green lenses and make the landscape appear brighter, but are still very protective. I am happy with my purchase.

Great purchase - seller did not disappoint - Was worried after reading other sunglass reviews regarding broken, damaged, used glasses being received. - Mine were delivered on time. They were new in the original box and packed ok. - these aren’t gas station shades but the price was great compared to store! I say buy from this seller with confidence.

Bought these for myself, and while I do enjoy wearing them and pretending I'm Steve McQueen, there are some pitfalls.Perhaps it's the "handmade" aspect, but despite the price, I'm not blown away by the build quality or finishing. Too much glue was applied while installing the hinges, forcing it to ooze out and dry. The acetate lacks a nice mirror polish you may expect and has some marring right from the factory, which will only increase with use. The "Victorflex" system, essentially a flexible bridge, was poorly polished, having some jagged edges and sharp surfaces. The frames also weigh a considerable amount, likely due in part to the size and materials used, leaving a mark on my nose after prolonged wear.Where these sunglasses really shine though are the lenses. Made from glass (not plastic like most), they are both polarized, reducing glare, and photo-chromatic, adjusting darkness based on light. Both work well, with a noticeable but unobtrusive difference between indoor and outdoor use. I do wish the lenses provided a bit more contrast (a product of the color), but the rose tint is easy on the eyes and reduces strain.

Came in a squashed case within a padded envelope.No tags. No box. No cleaning cloth.Not sure if these are irregulars or factory seconds but something is not quite right.The arms seemed "stretched out". I have a big head, but nobody has one that big.Returned about 5 minutes after trying these on. Not even close.Ordered a pair of 714s from Amazon and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!.

Great style but for a small head...this size is huge!I’m: 5’10 with 32 inch waist. I also have a strong jaw and chin.This size should be perfect but I think it’s more suitable to a bigger man.A meat head maybe. OR, I maybe slight and smaller than average mandespite being over average height. If you have a fat face they may workreally well!

If you want the large 649's go for these 24/86 (first number (24) is the frame style and the second (86) the lens colour) 54 (square box) 20 (first number (54) is lens width in mm and the second number(20) is the bridge width).You can't get a larger pair of 649's. In my opinion these are so much better than Ray Ban 4147.

Ordered these sunglasses from Amazon directly. Took two days for delivery with prime, which was pretty quick considering it was posted from Germany. Packaged well. The quality of the sunglasses are awesome and come with a nice leather case and glasses cloth. The design of these glasses are fantastic and fit well. Overall very pleased!

Loose hinges. Hair stuck in the hinges on arrival. Defected in the bridge. Smudges on the lenses. I have never been more disapointed when ordering something in my life. Stay away!
