OM SYSTEM OLYMPUS VR-370 16MP Digital Camera with 3-Inch LCD (Black) (Old Model)

I bought this camera as a Christmas present for my mom. She's gotten into flipping houses lately, and needed something to document her progress and just to have around for family events and all of her other activities. My mom isn't the MOST technologically savvy person in the world (authors note: I don't want to say she's terrible with technology but she is pretty terrible with technology), and even she can use this camera, easily! That includes dumping the photos onto her computer so that she can keep them organized as well (this is something that we've spent hours on the phone going over in the past, so this is pretty much a blessing for me).The picture quality is nice - I mean, don't be expecting DSLR quality from something that isn't a DSLR - but it gets the job done. It has a lot of different settings to optimize your photos for certain light conditions, but it's not as overwhelming as other pocket cameras are (my mom also can't see things up-close very well and refuses to get glasses, so the less buttons/knobs, the better!).Overally, I would recommend this camera for someone who isn't DEAD-SERIOUS about photography. It's a pretty standard point and shoot, and you can't get much better for the money. My mom really likes it, and I'm sure yours will, too! Or you know, you. Or whoever you're buying this for. I'm sure they won't be disappointed.

I was looking for a camera I could use for birthdays and kids programs and things like that since a cell phone camera is convenient but not always the best quality. After looking at many compact cameras I decided on this one because it had all of the features I wanted and was at a very reasonable price point.This camera has all of the features you would expect including lots of different automatic pre-defined settings and a ton of manual settings you can configure. It takes great pictures and is exactly what I was looking for.The reason I am only giving it 4 stars is that it does have a fairly slow shutter response time for the first picture it takes and if you are tying to capture a fast moving subject like a baby that is constantly on the move then you may miss shots that other cameras with faster response times would catch. Once it is focused on a subject and you have taken one shot there is a shorter delay and it becomes less of an issue on second or third shots of the same subject. This initial delay is only a minimal issue for me but for some may be a deal breaker.The bottom line is this is a great camera with awesome features and the only drawback I have found so far is the slow initial shot shutter response.

I needed a camera for my job & usually take about 50 pictures a day, 6-7 days a week. Not only is this camera stylish but it works great for the unbelievable price. No batteries needed...once I did the initial charge of the battery, which is included, I rarely need to charge it at all. The panoramic option means you never have to back up to capture the whole shot. The zoom lens for me is invaluable. I can capture a small objects from a long distance away. With the built in picture stabilizer you can usually capture pictures at a moments notice or in a busy setting. It works very quietly & the display is easy to see your pictures after you take them. It's a lot easier to use than other cameras I have owned & has so many different features it might take me awhile to learn them all. I enjoyed this camera so much I recommend the camera to my mom who is a novice when it comes to electronics & it was easy for her to use & learn. I would highly recommend this camera to beginners all the way up to those who need to take excellent pictures on a daily basis.

I expected much better quality in this camera. I read reviews diligently before choosing a new camera after my old Sony Cybershot broke. Should've stuck with Sony. The photo quality is very poor and the camera is very slow to respond when you hit the shutter. Very disappointed. The whole point of buying a camera was to have the option to take higher quality photos on special occasions or while traveling, but my Android takes better pictures than this. The only advantage is the zoom, but otherwise the phone is better -- quicker; better light, color and exposure with just automatic settings; and clearer pictures.

Its an older model so I picked it up for $78. That alone should stop any negative opinion but price aside--it has a great optical zoom for a small, inexpensive camera. Its much easier to set up than my previous cams including two other Olympus models. Very friendly menu. The only drawbacks I can find are LONG focus times and LONG zoom time. Sometimes you have to try to zoom or unzoom, let off on the button and start again. This is OK if you are taking photos of stationary objects. Im a home appraiser so its OK.The other problems is that you need either bright daylight or darkness. The camera will try to focus back and forth then finally decide on flash if on auto, and many times the photos are fuzzy or not fully lighted. You must choose manual in semi light conditions to get the best focus. Of course its flash is underpowered as most point n shoots are.All in all, for routine daylight and occasional interior 'family around the tree' type shots, its a great bargain. Im ordering 2 more for family members unless they all sell out.

the camera seemed fine and took nice pictures but there was a faulty usb port right out of the box, had trouble get it to connect to the computer, I had to keep pushing the plug into the camera and moving it around to get it to connect.Returned the product and bought something else.

It's a pretty good camera, once you stabilize it. Took me a while but it does the job well, especially with it's zoom! Felt it to be a bit shaky and blurry at first though. Guess it just takes time to learn to handle the camera. Overall it's a good choice for anyone within a budget and looking for a decent size along with good specs.

Its give beautiful picture and the videos are stable, on th video you can zoom before you start the video not during the time you take your subjectbut the lens are of good quality.Very good purchase, little camera easy to get in our pocket or purse
