For hearing in church
I actually bought this for my mother-in-law who is 93 and needed to replace one that had been broken. She gave me the information about what she had..the name, etc...looked it up on line. Actually it was the manufacturer that I talked to and he told me about the one I should get...that it was used in churches. She told me it works very well. The only thing she was disappointed in was that there was no small loop of cord that she could put around her wrist when she wanted to carry it. But otherwise, she was completely satisfied with it, and the manufacturer was very helpful.

Expensive but good
I bought two for a recent convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Never got to try them because I had friends who needed them more. However, nothing but rave reviews from both. The gentleman has hearing ads but needed more which this covered. He is buying one from me. The lady wanted less distraction and was happy using the one she borrowed.

Nifty gaget
This is a quality electronic device I bought to hear better in church. I failed to notice that it's the receiver only, and it does not come with head phones or ear buds. Still glad to have it.

Williams Sound PPA R37-00 Select FM Receiver
I purchased this item to replace and add to our supply of hearing receivers for our city council chambers. It's a great product. Has a very wide reception area, even inside of a building. Batteries last a long time.

Quality
Our church has a rather poor sound system; but, has an excellent rebroadcast system on FM.I am quite deaf; however, with the Williams PPA device I can hear every word spoken in ourchurch services. I have also purchased three units for other parishioners to use.

Wish they lasted longer...
We have been using these at the Church I work for for several years. I find that they stop working pretty quickly and not sure why. I don't know if the congregants are dropping them but I am spending hundreds of dollars a year replacing the ones that stop working.

Ear Bud Warning
While the receiver seems to work well, beware of the earbuds or phones you try to use. This doesn't work with any earbud. I've tried two different pairs to include some brand new $30 Sony's. The only way I can get them to work is to press and hold down on the jack. There's something about the jacks not matching up. Next I'll try the ones Williams sells.
