Nemco (55200AN-8) Easy Slicer Vegetable Slicer

I have spent the last 35 years in the industry including a 30-year run with my current employer. We slice a lot of onions as a daily portion of our prep work. That job has traditionally been done on an electric deli slicer but as the price continues to soar, I began looking for a cheaper option that will last. A colleague turned me on to the Nemco slicer and one month in, it seems to be a reliable alternative. Time will ultimately tell if it is a good long-term solution, but I am very pleased at present and will go this route over an electric model that is 5x the cost.

This is a great machine. It slices your vegetables very quickly and efficiently. I have the adjustable blade which I enjoy very much. I have only used it to slice cabbage as I ferment it for sauerkraut at home and need to slice up a ton of cabbages which by hand is a bit tiring. What I really like about this is that it is a manual and simple machine that doesn't need electricity and that will continue to work for a very long time. You can take it apart very easily to clean. I can't say enough about this appliance. I really love it and am very glad I invested in it!
