Tiny film
I ordered this along with a Nikon D40 from Amazon. Nikon recommends SanDisk and the 2 GB size seemed like enough. Some recommend the newer III version, but this was readily available and I thought it would be more than sufficient.SD cards are tiny, the size of a small postage stamp, and yet can hold hundreds of photos. Amazing digital film. Someday, computers will replace their spinning disks with this sort of memory and that will be a good thing. The first function of a memory card is to not fail. If it does, all your photos go away and your expensive camera will be worthless. There also can be errors that prevent things from working and make you crazy. So far, no failures or errors. After that, there are issues with speed. Modern digital cameras, especially the DSLRs, take a lot of photos fast and there is a lot of data that has to be stuffed quickly into the card so as to not slow things down. I have not noticed any bottlenecks, even when shooting rapid fire. Same goes when downloading. Nothing bad noticed there, either. The 2 GB card holds over 500 photos at the Large and Fine full 6.1 MP setting in my camera, according to the screen info. I haven't maxed out the card, so that may not be totally accurate. Your mileage may vary depending on the MPs you use and other settings. Some knowledgable photographers use the smaller settings like Normal, instead of Fine, because they can take more photos on a card. They say nobody can see any difference in quality. I like the idea of using all the pixels I paid for. With any card, it is a good idea to format after every session (after safely downloading your photos first!). This prevents errors in many cases and also frees up all the memory you paid for and thus the camera that you really paid for. Finally, even though your card may been just fine for a long time, you should know that if you go on that exotic vacation it will fail the first day. It is recommended that you get a spare if you are doing important stuff or if you will be taking zillions of photos.

Perfect price, performance, capacity for Wii videogame console!
You DO need SD memory compatible with Wii, so do your research before buying....[..]But you DON'T need the "official" Nintendo Wii license-sticker on SD cards (unless it makes you feel warm and cuddly). And you will find lots of tech writers, bloggers, and customer-reviews claiming that Wii consoles can use ANY SD/SDHC cartridges -- any available speed or memory capacity. Wrong! Reality check:[FROM NINTENDO SUPPORT WEBSITE 12/27/08]-- The Wii console is only compatible with SD Cards that are 2 GB (Gigabyte) or less. Cards with a capacity higher than 2 GB will likely not work with the Wii console.-- The speed at which the Wii console can transfer information will vary based on the card being used. The Wii console is capable of reading from an SD card at up to 20 MB per second, and of writing to an SD card at up to 6.7 MB per second.-- The slower of the two components will determine the actual speed. For example, if the SD card is only capable of 900 KB per second, the console won't be able to go any higher. Likewise, if an SD card is capable of faster speeds than the console, the rate will remain at the Wii console's maximum.

NEEDS TO BE FORMATTED!
I purchased this scancard for my daughter's digital camera for an upcoming trip. At first we could not get this SD card to work. Thankfully, I checked it out before she left. For some reason, it needed to be formatted to the camera. For my camera it would not have been a big deal. For my daughter who had video, saved pics and other info, it was a very big deal. She lost all her stuff. When you format, everything saved goes. She was not a happy person. However, she was happy that she was able to take many many pics while on vacation and the speed was a lot better. Yet she still complains of her lost videos.Be careful which SD cards you buy, we did not have to format the last one and I am confused as to why this one needed it. I gave it 4 stars because this 2.0 is fast and makes you happy with the amount of pics that can be taken.

Ulra great
I have used this 2 gig card for about a year now. I currently have 4 of these. I have taken hundreds of snap shots, and a number of movies with them. I have never ever experienced one problem. Never lost any pictures. Never lost any movies. Every picture turned out outstanding, as did every movie. I have used these cards in my both of Canon Powershot A710is. I have also used the sandisk 4 gig card. I own 2 of those, and recently purchased 2 more 4 gig cards. My 4 gig sandisk cards also work very well. Before I made my decisions to purchase them, I went to their website to check for compatibility. When I got the cards, the first thing I did with all of them was format them. After I uploaded my pictures and movies to my computer, I would format it again for my next use. As I said, I have had absolutely no problems with them, and just ordered two more. You can't beat the price for such quality. For me, they have been flawless, and I recommend them highly.I don't know what to say or think about those who experienced problems. I guess there are times when some things, no matter how great a reputation they may have, just go ker-flooey. I have been really successful & pleased with mine.

Good but you probably can go a little less expensive
I bought this for my Cannon A630 point and shoot automatic camera.I can't tell much if any speed difference between this and the less expensive Sandisk standard SD card.Search for:2GB SanDisk Secure Digital SD Memory Card 2 GB (Bulk)And save about ten bucks as far as I see.Love the camera and I use it every day. No problem at all with the card, and the purchase process was flawless. Use lithium batteries, which last a LOT longer!!!

Sandisk Ultra
Both my husband and I use this type of disk in our cameras. As the disks are so reasonably priced, we don't re-use the disks, but keep the full ones as back-up copies rather than deleting pictures once they're stored on computer. The delivery service has been excellent and very reliable.

Sandisc 2GB SD card
Generally good value for money. Card works well and processes images fairly quickly. Not much else I can say about a memory card
