Read the description carefully
It may have been my inattention to detail but it was not clear to me that this product would not work without another product that attaches it to the speed light. Once I made another purchase it worked as advertised. It is perfect for travel as it produces all the light I need without having to transport a big light and light box.

I’d Recommend Use Of an Off-Camera Bracket-Results Are Well Worth The Purchase!
Short of having a pro rig with multiple remote flash guns, this device is a Godsend! I used it outdoors with TTL and it got rid of ugly shadows in full sunlight. NOTE: You do need to purchase their separate magnetic adaptor for you flash. Also know that I think the whole rig is a bit heavy, and it would be wise to use an of camera flash bracket, and cable. Lifting the flash off the camera also helps with photo quality. I plan to use this for a socially distance, outdoor wedding in a month. Fall is upon us, and I know I’ll need this rig for early sunsets.

I'm a bit disappointed that this item does not increase the light output ...
I'm a bit disappointed that this item does not increase the light output as promised. I tested this item using my speed-light (Pro-Master 100SL). I took all 3 pictures from the same position, which was about 6-7 ft away from my subject (a vase of flowers in front of a wall) using the speed-light with no diffusion. The second picture was taken using the MagSphere, and the third picture using the MagBounce. In all 3 incidents, my settings (ISO, Aperture, and Shutter-speed) remained the same. I was greatly disappointed by the degree of light that was lost using the MagBounce. It does produce an extremely soft light, more so than does the MagSphere, but I lost a great deal of light too. I had to increase my ISO from 100 to 400 to get a near equivalent histogram reading. Additionally, my MagBounce arrived with a crease in it that causes it to lean in one direction. Not sure if this effect the reflected light, but I doubt the slight angle difference caused such a significant light loss. Additionally, the weight of the magnets are heavy preventing my speed-light from staying in a zero degree position. I don't have any locking mechanism on my speed-light so I have to hold it upright manually to keep it from dropping back into the standard 90 degree position. I'm going to keep testing it to see if I'm missing something, but there were not directions other than how to attach it to the MagGrip

Great flash modifier ...
I love how the MagBounce produces soft even lighting. I love it even more because it eliminates the shadows when I shoot vertical (portrait). The only downside is that the Magbounce + MagGrip adds extra weight to my DSLR camera with a big heavier lens and flash. But it is perfect when I have the camera on a tripod. Love it !!!!

MagBounce at real event
The Mag Bounce works very well. I just shot a Quinceanara with it in a really dark senior center. The MagBounce spread the light very well. Easy to scrunch up in my gear bag. As you can see from the attached shot the room lights were very dim. The light for the shot came solely from the on camera flash with the MagBounce attached. Had to kick the camera ISO up to around ISO 1600-3200 to catch the movement without blurring and save my batteries. My flash doesn't stay vertical very well with the weight of the MagBounce while I am moving around. I added a piece of velcro to back of flash to keep it in place. The same thing happened when I used my Gary Fong diffuser but the Fong unit sucks a lot of light.

The first is that it is really easy to mount with the magnets
This is an interesting product that has two advantages. The first is that it is really easy to mount with the magnets. You don't really do anything, it just firmly sticks to the magnetic mount. The other advantage is that it provides fairly soft light for fill that is roughly equivalent to the Lumiquest Softbox III. The softbox is probably slightly better in terms of light softness at around 3', but is much harder to set up and will blow off in any kind of medium - heavy wind.Note that this modifier really should be used within a few feet of your subject for best effect. It is more directional then the Lumiquest so has a better "range" by a couple feet. I would use this from 1-5' away max.

Kind of heavy
Be sure to buy the base for this system. I got the gel base which of course did not fit.I found this to be rather heavy on my speed light.

Great, but pretty heavy.
The build quality is great and being able to fold it up and throw it in my bag is wonderful. But using the MagBounce during the reception at a wedding proves just a little to heavy for my YN560IV flash head. When rotating my camera from landscape to portrait can cause the flash head to fall down covering my camera lens, requiring constant adjustment. It wouldnt be a problem on a locking flash head like on canon and nikon flash units but with the ever growing popularity of the yongnuo systems, it has to be addressed.

This is fantastic. I generally use off-camera flash but I wanted something that would make an on-camera flash bearable for those times when I really don't have the option of setting up lights. The bounce looks pretty silly on the camera and it's very heavy, but it really makes for beautiful light. Well worth it. Love that it folds up small too, and the magnets make putting it on and off a breeze - definitely going to look into some other MagMod products now.
