Lifetime 60069 Raised Garden Bed Kit, 4 x 4', Brown

These garden beds are attractive and sturdy. They are actually a lot bigger than I had expected, too. So easy to put together, too. I purchased two kits of three and had all six built in less than 15 minutes. I also put two together to make a taller bed and that build was easy, too. My vegetable, herbs and I are all very happy with this purchase. They seem very durable and I think they'll last for many years. I definitely recommend these garden beds to anyone who is looking for easy to build,durable and attractive beds for their garden. I plan on purchasing at least two more kits in the future, I love them so much.

My garden beds arrived quickly. I am surprised though that there were no missing pieces. The shipping box was totally destroyed and both ends were hanging by one flap each. The UPS guy must have been very careful to stuff all the pieces back into the shipping box before he leaned it against the side of my building. This set of 3 garden beds is VERY easy to assemble. No tools were needed. The individual pieces are light weight and easy to maneuver. I stacked 2 beds to make one taller bed because my garden space is very tiny. As long as the unit is placed on fairly level ground the two beds snap together without a hitch. Other reviewers have mentioned that the long connectors needed to snap together 2 beds were not included in their parts kits. That was not the case for me. Everything needed to construct the beds and stack or not stack them was included. They look very nice......very lowkey. We have termite issues in my region. These beds will not become termite magnets. As a sidebar to the manufacturer: Make these in sets of four beds to enable gardeners to have two stacks of 2 beds. I cannot comment on durability as I have only owned them for about 36 hours. I live in SoCal, so we can garden year round. If there is any type of problem, I will add to this review. I would definitely buy them again and recommend them to other gardeners.

I love these raised beds! They are simple to assemble, heat and weather resistant and keep the roots of my precious plantscool in the scorching heat of this desert area. If you have little or no area for a garden or poor soil with lots of huge stonesas we do, this is an easy solution. No need to till the ground, just add good soil and compost and you have a lovely gardenbed. The beds are much larger than I expected and I was very pleased with the overall appearance. They are very attractiveand though they are hallow (which I needed to protect the roots from our extreme heat in southern Idaho) they are sturdyand stay in place very well despite not being anchored down. We have high winds here and I was concerned. Nice productand worth the price. No more decaying wooden beds for me!

FIrst- really solid- and easy to put together. I was surprised. I have zero regrets getting these. I have not really entered into the gardening thing like many- I *want* to, but am busy and work stupid hours- and so...well, here it is. I saw these, calculated out my costs for wood (and a saw...) plus the possible visit to the emergency department for some stupid thing I might do- okay, I did not do that really...but.... Anyway, for about 40/ box, got sturdy, easy and no excuses raised beds. Since I live in SC, and its hotter than S***, nothing that I might like to eat will not grow now, I am going to have to wait until fall crops. In the meantime, these are sitting, looking good. Yes, I would love to have something in them, but don't think that would work. What I would REALLY love is colored ones- like, muted pastel colors or bright colors to add a fairy like ambiance to my dream garden. I got the garden bags for that- and it really looks pretty! :)

These were almost perfect for me because I didn't want to have to waste time figuring out plans for building my own out of wood or cinder blocks. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the internal measurement for each side is about 45.5" instead of 48". For a true square-foot garden I would have appreciated the internal dimensions to actually be 48" square. But these saved me a lot of time, and they look really nice! They seem like they're going to be really durable, I certainly hope that's true. Other reviewers have noted the sides bowing out. I noticed that as well. I've attached a pic. Now, I did not use the recommended equal parts peat, vermiculite, compost. I used bags of raised bed garden soil (9 cubic feet each bed). So my soil may be more dense than the recommended mixture. I wonder if that could be the reason for the bowing? I would think that if the soil is more dense and packed down, then there would be more pressure on the sides and cause it to bow out further. I tried to show a pic of the bowing with the yardstick, but it's pretty slight.Once I get the stepping stones and pea gravel in around the beds, I think it's really going to look super nice!!!

I was impressed on how quick it was to set up, in just a few minutes. I've never bought anything from Lifetime that I didn't like. From kayaks, tables, sporting gear , ect. Plus made in America

We've had these beds since 2017, so 7 years at this point. No issues at all.

Easy to put together and the color is great. Seems to be pretty sturdy.

Very easy to assemble lightweight but very strong

Super easy assembly...assembled 3 beds in about 15 minutes. Nice, clean look. Supported sides while filling and once filled no bowing of sides. Time will tell, but compared with cedar beds that require ongoing maintenance I think I will be much happier with these in the long run. I strongly suggest watching the assembly video on Amazon.com. It makes the assembly process simple. The only issue I had was with a few of the plugs being too small for the holes they were meant to occlude. I used crazy glue and duct tape to hold them in place while they dried. The plugs are to prevent water/dirt getting inside the walls of the unit and were created during the manufacturing process.
