Great read - a real page turner! Don't hesitate to read this author's various work!
This book is really a page turner!! It's as if many aspects of the story are ripped from current headlines in both the mainstream and alternative media outlets. I read the author's other series ("The Economic Collapse Chronicles") and it was very good... also a page turner, but not on the same level as "The Days of Noah." I enjoy how the author's title is an illusion to several different things... the main character's name, the "days of Noah" in Biblical times and the state of our current society (which are not all that different in terms of morality). As someone who is a former teacher and whose spouse is also a teacher, I can empathize with what the main character goes through. I would consider myself a Christian/Constitutionalist/Libertarian and while there is frequent mention of religion and God in the book, it is not done so in a "shove it down your throat" manner. The only mistake I made in ordering this book was not ordering the second book, "Persecution", at the same time because now I have to wait three more days for it to arrive from Amazon!! Mark, if you're reading this review, YOU DID AN EXCELLENT JOB!! Please keep writing books of this genre because you have a gift... and a good editor apparently, as I did not find any (that I can remember) spelling mistakes, typos or other errors which so many other authors include in their final works (this always baffles and irritates me). In my humble opinion, the four books written by this author that I have read to date are right up there with the greats from this genre - they are as good as anything you will read from James Wesley-Rawles, Joe Nobody, Glen Tate, and A. American (among others). Be prepared for an enjoyable read that will make you really question things, in a good, constructive way. Only don't make the same mistake I did... order the sequel at the same time!!

Fabulous and original
Very fast paced action thriller about true Biblical prophecy. Loved the story. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Loved the “ prepper info at the end.

Plagued by over explanations and debatable theology points.
The book had a lot of potential but veered too far into unnecessary explanations and debatable points of Christian theology. Being a born again Christian and a enthusiast of this genre of books, I was excited about a new book from this author. His previous two books were filled with amazing character development, and easy to follow and yet plausible plot lines. This book however, did not live up to the quality and standard of the previous two. In an attempt to paint a good word picture, the book went overboard with explanations. Most people who are reading these types of books are already familiar with the things that the book goes into much detail trying to explain. These over explanations greatly hinder the book and take up space that can be use for further character development. A good story will be able to explain itself. Over explanations turn the book into a school textbook. If the goal of the book is to teach then make a survival book. If the goal of the book is to use fiction to entertain, then let the story and the reader's imagination deal with the explanations. The second area of the book that I had a problem with was the debatable theology issues. Some reviewers have complained about the overuse of Biblical principles. Well what do you expect from a book by a Christian author and its very title is a quote from the Bible? My problem were the debatable issue. The rapture of the Church is a solid Biblical principle where many Christian debate is the timing of the rapture. There is nothing wrong with the author having a personal opinion about the timing of the rapture and its his right to put his opinion into his book. For me though, the way the "pre-tribulation" rapture was use in this book was in a way that insinuated a fact. There was a part of the book that said the rapture was widely accepted in Christianity. This is true; however, the way the book presented that statement is that the "pre-tribulation" rapture is widely accepted in Christianity. This is not true. Pre-Trib tends to be an American idea that is constantly debated.Overall the book was good. Slightly above ok and slightly below "i like it." I found myself skipping much of the news dialogue portions and parts that went too far into the weeds explaining. The characters are what kept this book interesting and their stories were interesting enough to keep my attention until the end. This is the reason for the 4 stars. There were points were the characters stories became a little too far fetched but this did not occur until the end of the book "the trial."Mr. Goodwin still has a enthusiastic reader in me and I will continue to look forward to his books in the future. It is my hope that he returns to the style, character development, and plot style of his first two books.

Couldn't put this book down
I just finished Mark Goodwin's Days of Noah Book One: Conspiracy. I'm going to read everything this author puts out. I'm Christian, a Reagan conservative and a voracious reader. I love books and I love a great story and this book was a wonderful ride for me. You certainly don't have to be a Christian to enjoy this book. Where the Bible or obvious Christian references are made, it is very relevant to the story. It is after all an end times thriller. The different facets of the conspiracy are well researched and eerily plausible for anyone who has seen the tremendous changes in the US. The characters enter this story from very different lives but then cascading events lead them forward to their own eye opening revelations of what is really happening. If I would have read this book 20 years ago, I would've loved it but would've slept comfortably assuming it's just a great book and that it could never happen in America. But....I certainly didn't sleep too comfortably last night. I don't write many reviews here but I really enjoyed this book and plan on starting on book 2 as soon as I can. There are very very few negative reviews for this book and I'm glad I ignored them. They seem to be people that roll their eyes at or don't enjoy reading about a conspiracy....well....don't buy a book titled Conspiracy. This is after all an end times story and in my opinion, a great one.

Awesome. Makes you think and prepare
Love the Lord and love the authors fiction writing. No garbage filth in the books and that is a blessing. Highly recommend all his books...can hardly put them down once the character line information is established. Remember, if you have issues with the story line, just read the Word and know that he is writing a story. If you want the exact biblical information... read the BIBLE--God's word.

This was my first Mark Goodwin read and I was thoroughly impressed. This man can write. I am hooked on this series and just ordered the next two. Christians are the most persecuted of all religions and Mark gives us a look at how our futures might be if we don't wake up and take a stand with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Check Mark out on the Prepper Recon podcast.

Loved it, very accurate and well researched
I really enjoyed the book. It took me a few chapters to get into it but once I was hooked I was really hooked and loved it. I have the rest of the books in the series and look forward to reading those. I am very interested in the subject matter so that makes a difference I guess but I thought it was well researched, accurate and written in an easy to read format. Reccommend it

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the style of writing did not appeal to me. The book had some interesting ideas and the one half of the plot was good. I suppose I would have to read the other books in the series to see what happens......
