Excellent!
The media could not be loaded. (£25 at time of review)It looks like a lot of money for what it is, but it is an exceptionally well made product that works perfectly... Definitely worth what I paid for it.This adapts my Fishman Matrix T-Blend endpin into something usable... The original Fishman component doesn't fit any of the straps I own.Very good value for money since you are paying for a great product that will last a very long time.I highly recommend this product 😎👍

A must for keeping your strap secure on guitars with an end pin jack
I've tried various different ways to keep my guitar straps secure over the years, but never been entirely satisfied with any of the solutions I'd tried on my acoustic. A strap lock would seem the best all round solution, however up to know, on acoustic guitars, it's been a choice of strap lock or end pin jack.Obviously not any more, the acousti-lok replaces the strap nut on the end pin jack, allowing you to use a strap lock while maintaining access to the jackBe aware there are a couple of versions of these and you need to ensure you have the version to match the thread on the end pin jack. I had to get the imperial version for the K&K end pin jack, but this won't fit my other guitar which has a metric thread - check the music nomad site for guidance before buyingOne other thing to be aware of is that, while it's fully comparable with Schaller strap-lok buttons, it may not work as well with other brands. In theory, you can swap the button on the end of the acousti-lok, or you could just invest in some Schaller ones...

Playing days saved
Excellent safety net for my Taylor guitar. Now I can fit my guitar strap with no worry of it slipping off. But pricey for such a little accessory but a must for all Taylor guitar players 🥳

Hybrid Setup works best
It’s expensive for what it is… however, I absolutely love it. It’s made for schaller strap locks which is great. However, it’s worth noting most straps will block the Jack input and have to fiddle around which on stage is not ideal. On the other end, using these strap locks on the heel servilely inhibits the playability higher up the neck!Fear Not! I have paired this system with the DiMarzio clip lock straps (which are awesome in their own right). At the heel joint it is perfectly flush using the clip locks screw straight into the body. But by adapting the other end of the strap slightly to fit the schaller locking part in by the Jack it uses the schaller part that’s integrated. Because of the design of the clip lock it means you have perfect access to the Jack input too!

Excellent product, well thought out nice quality
To use with a heavy arch top with separate mag and end-pin piezo outputs.I like locking straps but can't fit the guitar with a strap attached in the case anyway so would have to reattach each time which is either time-consuming or not done properly.Without the Lok I’ve had issues securing a strap and plugs, was never been happy with the setup and nearly dropped the guitar a few times. Looked for options and then found this product. This has it sorted, feels totally solid and secure, and is better arranged for routing the two cables safely.I ordered the shorter cap-head screws (£2) for the Dunlop system as recommended in the instruction videos but in the meantime used a rubber washer to space it and this works fine anyway.I guess a strap tail could get close to the jack plug but using a right-angled plug this is a non-issue (in this case the washer gives a little more clearance too).I’ll certainly be getting another for a different guitar.

Quality Straplock for acoustic guitar
Bought this for my Alvarez acoustic that has a LR Baggs system Thread fits perfectly but i had to adjust the output socket to get the acousti-lok to hang correctly - very easy to do . The Schaller S locks now keep my pride and joy safe. Music nomad have some good videos on youtube to help select the right lock and how to install them.

Good idea… sort of
The value of this product rests on whether or not it precisely tightens up to the correct position. If it’s not at the right angle then the advice by Nomad is to get your jack button re-fitted. Bonkers!Mine didn’t tighten up to the correct position. So I wrapped some PTFE tape on the thread until it did. What might be better would be if nomad supplied some thin nylon washers that you could put on until the item screwed on to the correct angle. The other issue is that if you want to plug in your guitar/mandolin etc then the strap gets in the way of the jack plug. This isn’t too tricky for me with my cheap fabric strap but with a thick leathery strap then it would be more troublesome. That said, I’m using this gizmo and making it work for me.

Dunlop Straplok on 3-screw jack acoustic guitar!
I only trust guitar straps that have some form of strap lock, and I use Dunlop Straploks on my solid body guitars. Doing the modification on this Acousti-Lok 3-screw seemed like the best option to get a secure strap on my Takamine P2-DC.The modification isn't too intimidating - it just involves the pin screw. This screw need to be shorter and the head diameter needs to be a bit narrower to fit in the Dunlop Straplok pin.To make the job easier and neater, I used a few extra tools: cordless drill, hacksaw and metal file. By spinning the screw against the file with the drill, the diameter can be trimmed pretty quick. Also, turning the screw against a hacksaw blade cut the length down pretty easily and neatly (used a 6-32 nut as a cut guide). There is a small gap where the guitar body curves next to the jack that leaves some room for the pin screw to protrude past Acousti-Lok a small amount. The whole screw mod only took me about 15 min.Installing the Acousti-Lok plate on the guitar with the 3-screw jack is a little extra work, as the jack has to be removed and the cord unplugged from the guitar preamp. On the Takamine, this wasn't difficult, as all the cabling is pretty straightforward to reach through the sound hole. I loosened the strings, but doing this install with the strings off would make it easier.I'm happy with the end result. For a bit of time spent, I have a strap lock system that is secure, easy to use, and looks clean!
