Nice quality, looks nice. Just unpacked and set it up, fits great in our smaller bathroom space. Packaging was good to protect item during shipping. I looked at a lot of trash bins before selecting Kohler. It was a bit more than others but the quality shows. Quiet close lid and easy to open. Allows a trash bag in it and it does not spill outside the rim when you pull it down. You just need to make sure it is not bunched up in the back by the opener.

I couldn’t be happier with this Kohler trash can. It fits perfectly in my bathroom, right next to the toilet, without taking up too much space. The size is just right—small enough to be out of the way but big enough to be useful. I love the sleek, modern design, and the pedal works like a charm. It feels sturdy and well-made, just as you’d expect from Kohler. This little trash can is exactly what I was looking for!

I needed a compact (medium, 8 gallon) size waste basket for the kitchen. Kohler products are high quality, and this one is no exception. Looks elegant, pedal responds to a light touch, and the lid closes by itself softly and quietly so there's no need to slowly ease off the pedal. Even the packaging was deluxe--3 sturdy nested boxes, and within that, cushions and a strong plastic bag. (Don't be alarmed by the weight of the carton--a lot of that's packaging!) Installing new bags is intuitive. There's an inner rim one needs to lift back. I found it easiest to secure the bag by folding the top edge over the back of the basket first, then pulling forward on both sides of the bag simultaneously till one can stretch the bag over the two front corners. A pleasure to own. (I'm embarrassed but tickled to be so excited about, of all things, a garbage can!)

I selected this bin because it had equally sized inserts for trash and recycling. A competing design was approximately 2/3 recycling, 1/3 trash. I think we probably could have used the 2/3 ratio, as we do tend to fill up the recycling side first. Nevertheless I'm happy with our choice, as it suits our needs very well, and low cost standard plastic liners fit very well in the trash side. The inserts are very easy to remove and reinstall. The foot pedal will really be tested, as I find myself opening the lid a lot. But it feels sturdy and well made, and in any case carries a lifetime guarantee. I must add that our dog is not happy with this new bin, as she can no longer raid the trash, as previously. But that was one of our main reasons for getting it!

Was looking for a sleek trash can for my bathroom so I purchased this clean looking trash can. Our town started a recycling program. I needed a dual trash can. This can fits perfectly for where I needed it, its sharp looking and easy to empty.

The 8-gal Kohler stainless steel trash can is the perfect size for under my desk; the top opens fully with even a little room to spare. I was amazed at the perfect fit !! The space under my desk is 28.5" and the waste bin opens fully to 28 3/8" with 1/8" to spare! I was amazed at the fit. I do not use a trash bag/liner in the can because it serves as my recycle bin and I put only waste-paper in it used at my desk, plus kleenex. Soft plastic is not picked up for recycle here in Austin, it requires a special trip by you, so I do not use a plastic trash bag. I empty the inner-can into our complex's recycle dumpster. I wanted a covered wastebasket under my desk bec I noticed how unsightly the waste looked in my former uncovered trash can; especially when kleenex were deposited and could be see from across the room. Yuck. Now my trash is covered in a very nice-looking trash can. My desk area is much more upscale now and I feel good about the neatness and better appearance (and the privacy of waste)!

We bought two of these cans, one stainless for trash, and one black stainless for recycling. We favor clean, simple design, and these fit beautifully into our updated mid-century modern home. The foot pedals work perfectly, and the soft close feature is a plus. In my experience, no stainless steel is entirely smudge or fingerprint proof, and these are no exception, but they are much easier to wipe clean than most similar finishes and certainly don’t require polishing. They removable inner cans are great for keeping the units clean, though it is a bit of a challenge at first to get bags fixed in place without them sticking out the edges of the lid, which defeats the purpose of the lovely design. I like to pull the bags tight and tie them on one side (see pic); If you slide them in carefully, it is not hard to keep them in place once you get the hang of it. Despite being advertised as 8 gallons, they take a 13 gallon standard tall kitchen trash bag perfectly. Despite the higher initial cost of the trash cans, I chose these over a similar Simple Human model precisely because they fit a standard (and cheap) bag. I also considered all-in-one trash and recycling models, but almost all of them, regardless of brand, required odd-sized bags. Most also had a small recycling compartment next to a larger trash compartment. We tend to recycle a lot, so two good-sized units was just a better choice for us. Shipping was fast and both cans arrived well-packed and undamaged. I highly recommend these beautiful and functional Kohler trash cans.

The dual bin can is well made and despite the bins being on the smaller side it is exactly what I was looking for. The fingerprint free exterior is also a bonus when the grandchildren are visiting

It took some time for us to find a kitchen garbage that would fit the space we have. It sits in front of a cupboard door of those less used items. It does not interfere with the cupboard door next to it and, when the lid is open, it does not interfere with the handle to that door or to the drawer above it. It is a very attractive item. We needed a new stainless steel item to go with new appliances. Kitchen garbage bag perfectly. No wasted plastic.
