Update, just shy of two years after installation. The bloody dang thing rusted and broke off at the base. See nasty pictures. This thing rusted so much it crumbles in the hand. Worthless, can not be fixed. Stay away. I'll leave my original review below.For the most part, everywhere I usually drive the stations come in the same as my factory antenna. No problems with distance from the source. I do however get issues with signals when I'm downtown with 4-6 story buildings all around me. I don't hang out downtown that much do it isn't an issue for me.

We live in a remote area, about 200 miles from Denver. We get several AM stations sometimes, depending on the weather and where we are driving. I got this antennae, hoping that we'd at least get those stations a bit better. I actually think I get worse reception for ll of the Denver stations. Disappointed. It works fine for local stations and it is better going through the car wash but don't expect better reception for more distant stations. I think it had been a return as the packaging was bad, stapled together and the mast was dirtier than it should have been.

What I can tell you in a comparison of 3 different antennas I purchased is that a 7" from another manufacturerer had the best reception. There are 3 environments: city, urban and rural. I live in an urban area.

This antenna is for my husband frontier truck. He likes it so far,no complaints

Just the right size to still pickup my local station approximately 25 miles away. Great valve too.

Works great, needed it so I could go through a car wash without taking off my antenna every time.

Great antenna. L can pull in all the stations I did before. Looks great. Would buy again. Adaptors fit so it was easy to install.
