Axminster Workshop Small Rip Fence Upgrade

I was struggling with the rip guide supplied with my SwitZer bandsaw .. impossible to tighten, I always had to use clamps and never got on with it.This replacement is exactly as described. Solid, accurate and simple to fit .. drilled one 6mm hole and all my problems were solved. As other reviews say, it's surprisingly stable considering there is only one locking point.

Works well and aids accurate cutting. Bit pricey but worth it if you want greater accuracy.

I was a bit worried that this rip fence would not fit my Record Power RPBS8 bandsaw before purchase as my table is cast aluminium and hollow underneath. I glued some small pieces of wood in the hollow sections and drilled fixing holes through the top of the table and wood to fit the guide rail. The fence is now fitted and works a treat, I am so glad I purchased the Axminster small fence upgrade, it is a great addition to my bandsaw, works really well, a good price, and arrived next day.YES, I highly recommend this bandsaw fence to anyone who needs to upgrade theirs.

Bought this together with Axminster aw1400b band saw.Fitting it required drilling four 9mm holes, for which I used the Axminster fence as a template.It's easy to take on and off (I have not experienced the problem reported by one customer here).My only criticism is that there is a metal wedge that has to go in the right place but doesn't stay there, you have to remember to swing it round before fitting the fence. That only takes a second and I guess I will get used to it.

I bought a second hand Record Power bs250, which didn't have the fence with it. This was a cheap way to resolve that problem, and I'm pleased to say it's better than I expected. Almost the perfect size to fit my saw, pretty rigid one locked in place and pretty accurate once set up. Really pleased with it.

I bought this to replace the Titan fence (as most people do). Found a 'how to' install on YouTube which was easy to follow.It's much more accurate and easy to fine-tune but the metal D plate (pictured) which the plastic handle presses against to tighten to the runner is very poor.It's incredibly easy to get stuck onto the handle when you take it off the machine and you need to wedge a screwdriver in / against it to try and separate the two so you can use it.Such a shame for an otherwise good product.

The up grade was very easy to fit and lovely to work with. Well worth the money.
