Perfect fit and good life. Original battery only lasted two years so I can't speak to how long this will last. Dell design is the key to changing this thing. Some designs give you easy access but this one required removing many screws from the back and separating the keyboard and cover from the bottom part which houses the guts. Not an easy task. That said, the battery took a couple of minutes and was very easy. Replaced cmos battery and upgraded screen at the same time. Works great.

My laptop: dell inspiron 13 5378I purchased this battery after receiving error messages saying "critical battery failure has occurred. Replace battery." Something like that. But I already knew that since I was unable to go more than 10 mins before my laptop would go from 100% full to OFF. And it was getting hella hot during use while I had it plugged in.Got this battery for it, installed it, which was super easy. It was dead when I got it, no biggie, charged it for maybe 10 mins and then turned it on. It was already up to 34% . I unplugged my laptop and used it on that amount. It didn't even die before I plugged it in 2 hrs later as I was going to bed. Used it on a full chsrge for the entire day the next day! And I USE my laptop. I heavily use it. Writing, surfing, chatting, researching, online shopping and gaming usually all at once if not a smaller combination of them all. This battery is fantastic. I am no longer tied to a wall outlet and can use my laptop anywhere I want. It use to keep me from traveling with it but now I can whip it out in the car and I love it. Great battery so far. Hope it lasts. But even if it didn't last for too long, thr price is right and id probably buy again

I purchased knowing a few reviewers noted that their new battery only lasted about a year, and mine did just that. Purchased and installed with ease, worked great with about 6 hours of battery life for a year until it starting struggling a week ago and now will not charge beyond 17%. For the price point, it is worth it to me to just buy a new battery - most suppliers seem to have reviewers stating 3 months - 1 year of life on the new battery, so I bought this same one again.

Just bought this replacement battery for my Dell Inspiron-15 7579 purchased in 2017. It's easy to install and fits perfectly.Just FYI leaving the laptop plugged in is not good for the battery. Like all batteries, lithium-ion cells age and deteriorate over time and with use. To help extend battery life and performance, try to keep the battery level between 20% and 80% several times a week instead of using your device for only a short amount of time and then plugging it in to fully recharge the battery. There is a "Dell Power Manager" app you can download from the Microsoft store to help manage battery charging.

Bought 11/3/23, its now 8/30/24 and the battery has about 1hr of life before needing recharged. Even when it was new it did not have good run time. I wish Dell still sold these. I would happily pay more for quality Japanese / Korean cells.Just think how many of these are cranked out in a year, then after a short time end up in land fills. Sad really.I don't get the good reviews.

I'm writing this review 3 years after I installed this battery and am happy to say it was as good or better than the Dell OEM battery which was installed in my laptop when it was brand new.Bought my laptop in 2017. By 2020 the battery would last only for an hour or so. I replaced the battery with this one and it's worked fine, but after 3 years is again starting to show signs of age (lasting about 3 hours instead of 10). So I'll be buying another one of these soon. Good performance and value!

We have a Dell Inspiron 7000 series. The battery was lasting only an hour. Checked Dell it was $100, this was $25. Purchased this, it arrived in 48 hours, then installed it in 30 minutes. It even comes with a non-standard screw screwdriver! Now the battery lasts over 3 hours. Super simple to install, remove the back cover10 screws, remove the 4 screws holding the battery, disconnect, replace, repeat in reverse.

Product arrived faulty, but after a quick message seller send a replacement.It's working as expected and is a great deal to give a second life to a laptop
