At first glance, these are short. I just built my first forge and I wanted something to get me started until I could make my own. But shortness was no issue! I got the hand of the and they work fantastic! They heat up fine, are very durable and have a great all around use. I definitely recommend them as a first pair.

Works well for me. I use them to hold blades for heat treating and some light forging, holds bar stock pretty well.

This pair of tong are built very solid and durable ,I have not use them as of this post but I see no reason why they won't hold up in the forge and with my knife making.

As advertised, these seem really well made. I've now got this set, a set of v-tongs and a set of knife making tongs all from the same brand. Between the three of them I can finally do pretty much everything I need. -Cody

comfortable working with

Hubby is taking up a new hobby in forging so for Christmas I got him these and my brother and parents went together on a hands-on class for him. After that he wasn't sure they would grip the smaller stuff he wants to work with but will keep and try when he gets his forge going.
