Does this work without an amp? That's why I bought it, but it doesn't seem to work without an amp

Yes, it works without a traditional amp, but it is only a practice option and cannot replace an amp. The basic premise of the device is to use your smartphone and related apps on your phone as the amp/effects. You need to install some sort of software on your phone to process the signal coming out of the device which will be then played out of the head phone jack on the TC Helicon interface. TC Helicon / GOGuitar offers several apps (Perform V and Go Record), but they are not the only ones that will work and there may be better sounding apps. Most apps with a combination of amp and effects will charge monthly or annually you to have a nice sound including reverb, delay, chorus, distortion etc. Some apps will also allow you play against background songs. You will want to close all other apps on your phone and put it in full power mode otherwise you will have latency and noise issues that make it difficult to play. Hope this helps.

Will this work to plug in my electric bass into bandlab to record tracks to send out?

This is more of a practice tool IMHO and you would likely have more noise and latency than with real world equipment. But I believe you can convert the signal from the 1/8th headphone to a 1/4 jack or other format and use it if you so choose.

Is there a way to plug my amp and pedals into this?

Yes. You would run your guitar into your pedalboard and then directly into the guitar input jack on the interface. Then run another 1/8 cable from the monitor output on the interface into either the fx return of your Amp or direct in front of your Amp. Hope this helps

Does this work for TikTok?

I have been able to get it to work on tik tok Facebook and youtube.

It works just as described you can also download free software the only thing I didn't like about it if you have any questions and you have to reach out to TC Helicon you can only email them which I did and they never responded to me that's the only thing about the whole experience that sucks

No dudes en adquirirlo, cumple lo que ofrece y con una buena calidad de audio, yo lo necesito para transmitir audio por streaming, saco el audio de una consola análoga, y funciona perfectamente bien.

Okay for the price

Seems okay for the price. I can't seems to get it to work with out a bunch of unwanted noise in GarageBand and Deplike. Seems to work better with Bandlab and GE Lab, but still has noise that the noise gates don't remove, but still usable.

No es así nomás la cosa

Lo compré pensando que sería mas lineal su uso, o al menos aún no lo resolví del todo, enchufé mi teléfono y mi guitarra, unos auriculares y no tenía retorno, no sabía si andaba o no, fue hasta que hice la prueba de mandar un video por whatsapp que pude comprobar que si funcionaba, luego de eso también usé un adaptador de 3,5 a USB-C y desde mi pc pude configurarlo para escucharme mientras toco y si funciona, mismo grabar y todo lo mas bien.

Waist of money

Not working at all. I bought this so I could record videos of myself, and it looks like it doesn't work for that. I saw this is a perfect Irig replacement option, but it does not even record audio with good quality. Not happy with my purchase, I don't recommend this product.
