I built 3 cable for my IP camera using this wire. The ones that are 30ft or less work fine. The one that is 60 ft doesn't work. I can't connect to the camera because the link quality is so low. When I ping it, I only get 25 to 50% reply. No, it's not the camera because I tried it with a 2 different cameras and they behaved the same. So don't buy this cable if you plan long network cable run.Update 5/6/19Updated to 5 stars. I found out why the 60 foot cable doesn't work. I used only half of the twisted green wire for network and half for DC power by mistake. That was why there was too much noise on the network and hence lost half of the pings. I started over with twisted orange and green pair for ethernet and the twisted brown and blue for power and my IP camera worked fine.

Don't waist your money if you going to use this for IP cameras. Signal will get lost constantly. I only use it on 3 cameras and I have to return to my customer to replace 250ft. I will not purchase this for my business need. I hope this help for IP installation.Updated 5/19/2020I remodel my office this month and I use this cable to replace old cables. Bad Idea... Then God I check my network before closing walls. I have 1Gbps speed internet this cable will not pass 100baseT I have to replace every cable. But me behind on my remodeling. I don't know when or where to use this cable....( I guess only on stuff under 1000Gbps)

This is the worst CAT5 I've ever dealt with. It would constantly kink up on itself after we had pulled a length of cable from the box's payout. Strangest thing, it's like it wanted to kill itself. You would have a clean looking length of cable, but when you go to inspect it, there would be a kink that would be catastrophic to conductivity. Unfortunately, we had already run about 800 feet of this stuff before finding this issue. We yanked it all and thew it and the other box away. Even stranger, this only happened to the RED colored cable. The green was fine - I have no idea why one color would do that and the other wouldn't, but it was consistent across boxes. Definitely do not recommend this cable - I'd give it 0 stars if they'd let me.

If you do IT in almost any capacity you can use this at home or at work. The Cable is mid line quality and doesn't experience the problems found in buying cheap garbage. I've run thousands of feet from this brand and have nothing bad to say about it, and it comes in an assortment of colors for organizing your network properly.

Seems the last time I shopped for a box of cable it was insanely expensive - this isn't.I've run miles and miles of cable and have crimped 10's of thousands of RJ45 ends on so I know what good cable is, and this is good cable. In fact, I will probably order the same kind but in different colors to properly color code my nerd home network.

Don’t waste your money on trueCable

If you're looking for Cat5e cable at an affordable price, this box should work for you. I've used several boxes at work to wire new office space without issue. However, with new technology coming down the line, you might want to look into Cat6 wire instead, even if it is a little more expensive. But if you just need to do it on a budget, then get this Cat5e. No issues with it as compared to some of the cheaper cable available.

Great quality cable. I used this cable to run a series of access points for a large building. After giving this product what could be considered a rigorous quality control test I can consciously recommend this product. I had no problems with kinks in the cable or trying to make-up ends. This is a great cable for most all uses from long runs to short patch cables works, it works great. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a happy experience when trying to do a rather tedious job.
