Do not buy!! well hopefully Amazon have removed it now, as I reported it as dangerous, it was making a funny noise one day so switched it off and next day had it on again and seemed fine however when I walked back in the room it was stinking of electrical burning smell, so rushed to the fan and it was smoking!! And was very hot to touch the fan, lucky I caught it in time or could of burnt my house down! Steer clear of this fan.

i found this item a bit fiddly to assemble as the nut and screw is tiny, and it can get noisier after spinning for about half an hour. it's not bad for the price though. if i buy another desk fan, i think i will opt for one that looks easier to put together. i put nothing for battery life because it doesn't run on batteries.since i wrote this review, the desk fan has become noisier and was making a whistling noise. don't buy this fan. i've thrown it out.

I needed a fan for hot flushes at night, and one that would not waken my husband.Sadly this is not quiet enough, and even the one I presently have, is quieter.It is a good fan however, so I shall use it elsewhere.

Lovely fan, but very noisy on top speed, however on speed one it is really pleasant

These fans are pretty quiet and really powerful for their size. Ideal size for desktop use, but powerful enough for use elsewhere.

Does the job but disappointing I brought this in April and it’s already given up the ghost. When it did work it was noisy.

Not only is this fan loud but it is also terribly made. The oscillation mechanism swung smoothly to the right, but upon reversing direction it would swing violently to the left with a loud 'snap. The fan blades were not balanced either which lead to a consistant and audible buzz. Sent back for a refund...

Honestly, this is a very noisy fun. It’s annoying that sellers write misleading titles and later make the consumers to bear the costs of returning. It has different levels of noise that comes from the motor inside like a turbo whistle and when rotating it gives a sound that is strong.
