Fair Soundbar now a Great Soundbar
PLEASE READ UPDATE AT END OF THE REVIEWFirst let me tell you that I bought this sound bar to go with a 5 year old Samsung smart TV, and that I have a BT (Humax T2100) box which I use for most of my viewing. On arrival, I unpacked the contents and easily managed to connect the sound bar and Bass unit to my TV.My first attempt, using the optical connection, resulted in very little sound coming from the sound bar, and I initially thought it was broken. I then started playing with the TV settings and got some minor improvement. My second attempt was to connect the sound bar to my BT box (again with the optical connection), and this again disappointed, with little volume from the sound bar, but reasonable volume from the bass unit.I then started to play with both the TV and BT box settings, and after a few attempts removed any sound settings using features such as 'Clear Voice', 'Music', or 'Film'. The improvement was dramatic, and I got reasonable sound from the sound bar and bass unit. It was not loud, but was a crisper and clearer sound than my TV speakers. I have since tried the sound bar on a friends newer TV which allows for better controls of the sound settings, and this improved the sound even further, although the sound was not ear splitting. One of my main gripes is the poor user manual which does little to explain what the buttons on the remote should do, and how they relate to the display on the sound bar. When are manufacturers going to realise that they must put more effort into the user manuals, describing ALL functions and displays on their equipment. Also, I could not find an online manual which would allow me to read the manual without the need for a magnifying glass (I am approaching my 70's).I now have the sound bar set such that it gives a slight increase in volume (compared to TV speakers), and this does make the sounds (especially speech) much easier to hear. I used to have the volume turned up quite loud to hear the TV from 25 feet away. Now I can have it at normal volume, and can easily hear speech from the same distance. If you are looking for a sound bar to give crisper sounds (hearing whispers when louder music is playing in the background) then this is a reasonable buy. If you want ear splitting music and the walls shaking, then try another sound bar.UPDATE :-Since I posted the above review, I have been in touch with Bomaker and they have taken my comments on board. They have produced an upgrade for the firmware in the soundbar and sent me a copy. This has made a tremendous difference to the soundbar volume and quality, and I now have a soundbar that can fill my large room with LOUD sound in all modes. The preset modes such as 'Voice' now can be easily heard by my aging ears, and provide great sound for TV programs from News to Music. Additionally they have promised an online version of their instruction manual. All of this means I can now upgrade my review of this soundbar to a 5 star, and can recommend it as great quality and value.I found the upgrade (via USB stick) easy to undertake, and I hope Bomaker will make this available to current users who may wish to upgrade. My thanks to Bomaker for their patience and assistance in improving the soundbar.

Decent enough sound ...
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. My tv lacks the bass I would like when playing music and moviesI wanted to add an additional sound set up that wouldn't cost too much(At this point I have been using this for about 2 weeks)Positives- Sleek modern design- Slimline Subwoofer- Direct stereo sound- Subwoofer is punchy- Clean and easy to install- Functions and preset EQ's settingsNegatives- Dynamic range- Mids frequency- Max volumeSo after using this every day since I purchased it there are some things it's good for and others that I'd just leave it on low or go back to my tv.I found the front-facing output to be nicer when I wanted to watch game shows but for drama and other programs I found that it lacked the dynamic output when the sub is on low.For Movies and music, this gives me the sound I was looking for and the bass is enough to put you in the moment which I liked. There's no hissing or vibrations. it does the trick to capture the punch I neededUsing the Bluetooth mode with TV installed applications like Netflix has a minor delay so I have to switch to optical to keep it in sync but for everything else Bluetooth is fine.I do wish it went up a little louder but in saying that, the max volume will be adequate for the average consumerI've taken some detailed pictures and a video so you can see what you're considering buying.I hope this quick review helps, if so please bash that "Helpful" button!Enjoy all ;-)

Quality at an affordable price
Decided to buy a soundbar as the sound coming from our flat screen TV, wasn't great and depending on where you were sitting in relation to it, you found it very hard to make out the dialogue in movies or TV shows. After reading the reviews, I decided to go with the Bomaker 2.1 with the wireless sub woofer. Received delivery a couple of days later. Set up was really easy. Originally I went with the RCA connection. At first I found this fine but after a day or so noticed a bit of a vibration type sound when listening to dialogue in a film. I changed to the Optical cable (supplied) and it has been perfect since.Really happy with the sound quality. It makes movie time so much more enjoyable and gives it a real sense of being at the cinema for the kids. The sound quality is so natural, that when a Doorbell or phone ring on the TV, we all either find ourselves checking or phone or heading out to answer the door. The soundbar and subwoofer have a quality feel and look to them. Fantastic value for money and so far I am really pleased with this purchase. So much so, I would definitely consider Bomaker for any of my future audio purchases.

Brilliant for money!!
For the money, this is a great sound bar. I’m amazed at the quality of the sound. The options to change the sound are good. You can use the remote to change the treble and bass, add 3D sound or make voices more prominent. What impressed me most was that I have the subwoofer on the other side of the room to the tv. I initially thought I couldn’t hear it, so I turned it off to realised that it was definitely working (the sound became more tinny from the sound bar). For some reason the subwoofer bass seems as if it’s coming from the sound bar not the actual subwoofer, which is quite impressive. You would have to buy one to understand my comment. The build quality of the sound bar and subwoofer is great- very sturdy. The sound bar connects to the tv easily with the provided optical cable and the subwoofer automatically connects. The only minor downside to this sound bar is that you can’t use a sky remote for the sound bar, you’ll need to have the sound bar remote close to you. Only a minor hiccup for such an impressive piece of equipment. For those doubters, I have had some decent speakers in the past from Bose to Sony, but in this price bracket, this bar is up there with the best
