Extra Select Premium Barley Straw

Bought this to cover my tortoises ready for hibernation, it’s good value for money and should keep them warmer during the winter months

Ordered 3 bags of the straw, it actually comes from a supplier about 14 miles away from me. However next day free delivery from amazon prime. Smells lovely and fresh is well packed into the bags, great value and the bunnies love it they all go crazy for it. It can be used in the hutch , bed, run, so versatile . It's dust extracted which is good and durable without dust everywhere. It's nice and soft for comfort for the rabbits. And does it's job it lasts well and is absorbant and they eat it. I order 3 at a ti.e as is a better deal.

I've used this to mulch under strawberries. It seems nice quality and works well to keep the strawberries protected. However, there are clearly a lot of seeds in the product. I've used about a third of a bag in a raised bed, and have easily had 200 barley shoots in the past fortnight. They are easy to pull out, but would be a problem without frequent attention.

I have always used this brand when I have needed Barley Straw and even after many years the quality has never altered. It has a wonderful 'sweet' straw smell and my chickens used to love it. I now use it in my hedgehog house and our latest resident seems very happy to curl up in it. I like to keep stocked up for when I clean her hog house out! Does she mind it getting a bit niffy in there? She's never said so :-) I just like to be on the safe side and keep her home clean, changing at the right time of the year and obviously by lamplight when she's out on the tiles! :-)

I've ordered this straw for the past 2 years and have found it to be the great quality. I order the pack of 3 every month as I have 2 runner ducks - Daisy & May. I have raised them both from ducklings and they are now almost 2 years. As they live in the garden, I need a good quality bedding for them to keep them warm and cosy in their house; aswell as a good nesting material for them to lay their eggs. I'd highly recommend this product as its the best price I've found for someone who regularly needs to buy straw bedding. This straw certainly has my girls seal of approval! I highly recommend 😊

Started using this a few weeks back, as my local pet shop closed down. It's slightly different from what I was using as its more flatter strands, but I use it throughout the bunnies complex as general flooring in the run area over wood shavings, which is over paving. I do lay quite a thick 'carpet' of it and it's been very good quality with no foreign objects in. Fair sized packets, and it does have a different odour to what I was using, but the furry's have go used to it now.

I love this straw and there is so much of it. My cat loves it too and I think I can put some of it in the pond to keep that clear, although I'll have to check that. Great value for money, very clean, well packed too.

My first review was rejected, I have no clue why. I gave the product 5 stars. I got the 3 packs, they arrived in a well-packed large cardboard box.I will be using this straw as a mulch on potatoes I am growing in tubs.
